No question he knows a lot about NFL past and present, maybe if he had his very own thread, he could post all his lists, his trivia, his poems, etc....people could even post there with him...just so as long as he doesn't start threads.

This forum used to be one of my favorites for the NFL season but ever since he showed up, the good posters either left, or everyone just ends up ting on avante and not talking about football. Naturally, avante will say that all he does is talk football in here but he still fails to realize that no one really likes him on here so his just sucks to read.

Yeah...he's not going to stop making threads. , he already makes the same ones over and over and makes his own threads about teams instead of starting a discussion in the big ass team thread that's already there. CN is right, pinking him is the only way to contain him.

On a different note, I think we will split the series this season between our teams...Chargers are gonna be better then they were last season.

Lol, beat me to it. Like six months ago I bumped his Russel Wilson threads and there were over a dozen if I remember correct.

I like this Avante Thread idea. I think that would work. I think I'll give that a try, but if people come in there to just pester then it, I'll then go back to doing whatever I want.

That's what I'm saying though...people try to get under your skin in ALL of your threads, so it will likely happen in that one too....but if I were to guess, I'd say it would mitigate the trash talking substantially enough that you would be happy and so would every one else...it's a win-win.

As long as the improvements to our secondary are the real deal, it should be a good season.... schedule will be brutal, but it's nice to actually go into a season feeling optimistic for once as opposed to the dread that AJ/Norv inspired....

You know what everyone else does on here right? We talk to eachother and mix in discussions about TODAYS game...we don't brag about trivia or facts and frankly we would probably all be ok having a beer together because of it.

So you've read plenty of avante stuff then? I've watched several of the most open minded posters on this site come here and try to discuss, debate, just talk with avante and they've all caved (spurraider21 comes to mind)....they try as hard as they possibly could try to not hate on avante and in the end, they always do....it's what he started posting at this site for in the first place according to him...he knew his shtick would get under everyone's skin, so he's relentless with it and unfortunately, he's good at it.

Why waste time on it? First of all, it takes 5 seconds to read someone's post, and it takes even less time to skim right thru one of his full page trivia posts, so it's not like there is a ton of time taken out of my life. At the end of the day, this site exists for two purposes, discuss the topics at hand, and entertainment. The problem with avante is that he dictates what the topics will be by creating a good dozen or so threads every couple days, and then won't discuss anything because he refuses to acknowledge that his opinions could possibly be invalid or useless. Furthermore, sometimes people make really insightful posts that are interesting to read but you have to shuffle thru the "fastest 40 times" to get to them.

Also, I don't like putting people on ignore because I feel like that's surrendering, for lack of a better term.

Dude, you've done this patronizing BS act so many times on here, I don't know why you think I will entertain it at this point. You don't like my original idea, that's fine...but I'm begging you, just take it easy this season. Maybe only one Russel Wilson post...maybe only one excuse for your bets going wrong, maybe only a few 100 meter times listed. Just dial it back this year.

Chiefs won't make the playoffs, imho.... too many subtractions, not enough additions, a puzzling draft, and the personification of mediocrity at quarterback.... they fluked out a bunch of wins against ty teams but this year's schedule won't allow for that....
