How much different would the media spin this if Tony Stewart wasn't a white guy in a white sport? Seems like he's getting off too easy. Despite any fault at hand, it's kind of ridiculous NASCAR isn't really doing anything about it.
Rotate your tires first to make sure it's not the tire. If it is not the tire ,the wheel brg's or if it's a front wheel drive car the CV joints.

What exactly is NASCAR supposed to do? All evidence seems to be pointing to it being an accident, can't really punish Stewart for that, tbh....
I finally saw the footage on NBC today it clearly shows Tony Stewart intended to run that young man off the track on purpose .
I may post a YouTube video with my findings but until then let it be noted this was intentional
I've done more investigations into this and the truth appears to be (intentions aside) that Tony's car only rev'ed up because his right rear tire lost traction. This caused him to fishtail as well. Although it appears upon first glance that Tony fishtailed into the victim, the victim came too close to Tony's car and got trapped beneath the wheel and that reduced the load on the engine causing the engine to rev as the tire was spinning.
I think Tony will be cleared of all fault in this and it will be chalked up as an accident. The only caveat is that he had his right rear tire replaced. He could say he did it because he knew the cops would want that tire, but they would want the entire vehicle, not just the tire.
If you watch the video frame by frame, you can see that the car did not fishtail before the rear wheel made contact with the victim. I retract my earlier statement.
The Sheriff said today that they are looking at another video they received late yesterday. The investigation continues.

The video I saw yesterday the kid jumps and hangs on to the wing before getting sucked under. Don't think Stewart ever saw him until it was too late.

And then this as well:

Thanks for your answers,![]()
And yes, it is a front wheel drive car. I often pull the handbrake super hard, maybe the brake pad doesn't get fully off the wheel when I release the handbrake, so could it be possible that the sound came from the friction between the handbrake pad and the wheel?
You tree huggers have no clue Tony Stewart is an asshole and knew exactly why that kid was on the track he could have at least started to steer out of the way like the previous drivers did. He also knew he had a free pass since the kid was on the track he would not be blamed he's supposedly is an "experienced" professional race car driver?
have him take a polygraph and watch him fail
Also, not exactly sure on this but at least in NASCAR, all drivers have spotters telling them what's going on on the track AT ANY given time so the he didn't know he was there card is not really credible at all.
He may have not meant to hit him but he knew he was out on the track on foot.
The guy stayed near the top of the track, not near the other racers, until just a few seconds before he was hit.
It's interesting that the guy filming decided to stay on the wrecked car instead of the race going on. Unlucky for Stewart. My guess is that his spotter OK'd him taking out the kid. But neither counted on someone filming it.
This wasn't NASCAR or INDY series people. There are no spotters.
In almost all cars the handbrake is used on the rear wheels.
I don't know what they're called but whoever is talking to Tony over his earphones.
For a little podunk track like that I would say he has no spotter. This track is not up to NASCAR standards. Why Tony would
race on this type of track was just, just ...........He has a NASCAR team that depends on him. Hundreds of employes and just his team
car has at least 70 workers. He got hurt last year in a crash . A leg compound fracture put him out for the last part of last year.
True sprint car racing helps your reaction time and driving skills but the chances of getting hurt in a crash are high. Some team owners
will not let their drivers race elsewhere because of the car team investment in the driver. To field a single top rated team car for the
season can cost $10 to $20 million. Quite an investment!
As to the initial confrontation whereupon Stewart turned high and thus hit the other guys car.....
In this type of racing is that a blantant cheapshot done on purpose?
Or purely an accident by Mr Pro driver Stewart?
And that's exactly why this was probably a hit job. Like you said...why would Stewart race in this???
Dude it's not like he's new racing there. That's where Stewart comes from in racing. He started racing Sprint and Midget cars, then moved to INDY then NASCAR.
This is like his hobby. He races on that series every year. Even has a special event where he invites NASCAR drivers as well as other drivers from other series to race at Eldora. Another dirt racetrack.
When he races there he does it for free. He doesn't do it for the sponsors either. They dont fund those races or cars. Whenever you see a sponsored car like the 14 that's just free advertisement for the company.
I highly doubt that Mobil One wants to be enbroiled in a PR nightmare like this. In fact, sponsors might just leave Stewart for this.
I don't know about all that. Do you think he really started racing Sprint cars??? What would be the point of that when he's unarguably one of the best in NASCAR. Racing Midget cars? I doubt he does that either. I do agree with you
on the sponsorship issue. This can't be anything but a negative.
Do I know? lol
Of course I know. Any motorsports fan would tell you that's how he started out. Go Karts, Midget cars, sprint cars etc.
Everyone ing rides go karts and . I'm talking about on a professional level. Don't you want to throw in bicycle riding also? I'm sure he did that. Would you believe Tony Stewart got his start riding tricycles???
You're some kind of re .
So you are not exactly sure there was a spotter there telling everyone there was a driver on the track, but you are sure they all knew there was a driver on the track because the spotter who you are not exactly sure was there told them so.
Did you even look at the picture I posted of the inside of a sprint car? Did you read the comments I posted from someone who actually races them? Do you think they have good visibility driving a car like that with a their heads secured to the seat on a dark track with a guy running around in all black?
