And technically the one series which hurts Manu's overall numbers (vs. Portland) was a series that he ultimately wasn't needed in... Belinelli's one good series (vs. Portland) didn't require Manu have to play at All-Star levels for the Spurs to advance...

Manu had near superstar PER values if the Portland series is dropped out from his overall post-season stats. Instead he ended up with an All-Star level PER. Not too shabby.

Tim Duncan was the Spurs' most consistent/productive player for the Spurs during the 2014 Playoffs
    Manu comes in at second
and Kawhi just a wee bit smidgeon behind that...

    Really a 2A/2B argument here...

Please post all your numbers, not just bits and pieces. Then multiply PER by their minutes played to see who provided more for the spurs.
Post their winshares and their winshares per 48 and their per100 possession differential. Please pretty please with sugar on top.

I see why manu fans like PER now. They missed the part where it is a per minute stat.
I usually don't mind comparing bench and other players using PER but when one player can't physically play those minutes, I can't compare the two.

You pretend like the coach doesn't determine/affect how many minutes a player can play... Manu plays all out when he's on the floor.

And then he hurts himself, and then he misses the entire playoffs. But his PER is at 20 bro! higher than Kawhi's! You pretend like manu isn't injury prone or something.

Manu is actually my favorite player, but I can't lie to myself and say he was the better player between the two.

I've said it before but imo Manu was the best player of the POs overall, it's super close anyway...

    1/ Manu
    2/ TP/TD/Boris/Kawhi
    3/ Green

    4/ Mills

5/ Tiago (basically only played half the POs)

    6/ Bonner
    7/ Cojo
    Dead last/ Beli

Manu was a monster vs Dallas tbh. And hit ridiculous momentum shots in every series save for the easy Portland series that didn't require any...

So MVP of the toughest series and most consistent.

They do different things for the team. Manu can't defend LeBron straight up or score on him, Kawhi isn't a great playmaker or is as clutch as Manu.

he is leading most advanced metrics during the POs
second in scoring, he did not score double digit only one time, he put 9 double double , he leads blks and rebounds by a mile AND minutes played

Duncan was easily the playoffs MVP. I can see the Manu legions have returned to form for this season

    overall in playoffs:
    1. Duncan
    2. Kawhi
    3. Diaw
    4. Splitter
    4. Manu/Green

Ferrari is replacing Manu this season. It's already a done deal.

and FYI, Splitter was our MVP for the 1st 2 rounds of the playoffs. Diaw had just a SOLID run throughout and was the X factor. We don't win without Diaw.

I don't see how anyone can argue with that ranking IMO
