from this article: About a half an hour after arriving at the holding cell, they were told that all media members could leave without any charges being filed.

this is a different article about the same guy. quote from this specific article: The two men were eventually released without charges.

i hadn't seen this before, and its interesting. its still not clear what exactly the dispute there was about. regardless, i've never called the reported robbery justification for murder, but it merely fuels some speculation as to what may have caused his confrontation with the police to become violent (if he was worried they were coming for him, etc).

something I read in the youtube comments, was that the autopsy shows he was shot from a distance?... I haven't looked at the autopsy report yet, but I know people lied about him being shot in the back and I know he advanced towards the cop in some fashion according to 2 people... and the last thing I'll take into account is a comment on youtube, but it was interesting to read that. And does that full video show him paying for anyways? who knows what happened with the shooting at this point
the distance is sort of irrelevant. if he was charging at the police from 20 feet away it still could be perceived as a threat. however, if autopsy reports (i haven't seen them myself yet) actually show that NONE of the bullets entered from his back, it sort of s on all the "eyewitness" accounts we have heard.

its a developing story, and as i've said from the very beginning, i'm waiting for facts to come out. i just know a vast majority of people's reactions and initial perceptions are just fueled by race, which is stupid. people want a conviction/crucification of the cop before knowing any of the facts of what went down... literally just because it was a white-on-black thing. just like the zimmerman case.

Again...what the are kids doing out there? The parents know there have already been confrontations with police. I guess making a "statement" is more important than the safety of their own children.

If they were normal parents with normal functioning brains they would have left their kids at home. Actually, they wouldn't be out there in the first place because they are putting themselves at risk and they have kids who depend on them.

Police are arresting journalists w/o charges, confiscating phones and physically warding off cameramen, and still doing so w/o nameplates on their uniforms.

And yet we should still trust these s?

How about these people stay in their homes at night for a while. Then maybe they wouldn't be "tear gas victims". Why do they have protest at midnight?

So they already have proof that he was charging the officer, which discredits all the stories that he was shot in the back and discredits all the witnesses that made that claim, and people are still ing? It doesn't really have to be said again, but these idiots are rioting/looting just because they're ing stupid ghetto trash, no other reason.

Can the people who said they saw the "innocent/honor roll" student get shot in the back get charged for anything since they basically started all of this with their lies? Inciting a riot or anything?

But but but michael brown could have been any of their children!

While we're at it, why don't they ing teach their children to not be ghetto thugs/thieves and to listen to an officer when he tells you to do something? Black community wants change, it starts there, tbh.

You have be incredibly stupid to think that any of these looters actually give a about blindside, tbh. They're just looking for trouble, and when they find it, they immediately become giant ing pussies and play the victim card. lol Bunch of gots.

Wouldn't A 6' 4 250+ pound angry, and defiant black man be a pretty powerful weapon with in itself?
Depends. If this 6'4 250lb was just an out of shape, high school kid, probably not. I'd use my taser on your ass before shooting you. I have to wait for the full story but so far this sounds like an excessive use of force. And if all reports are true, the PO has an immaculate record and this may have been his first incident dealing with someone who resisted arrest. The sight of a big black kid attacking him may have put immense fear and his instinct was to kill to defend himself.

I do like to think that everyone has an objective view when they face a threat and in this case firing a weapon may be a justifiable act.

My guess is there won't be any criminal charges and the PD may face a civil lawsuit with Brown's fam receiving a huge settlement.

According to a medical examiner talking on cnn, "shot from a distance" in the autopsy report just means greater than 24" because, for a handgun, under 24" there would be gun powder residue/burns on the body. He also they do not have a way to tell from the body if the shots were fired from 25" or 25 feet.

The autopsy doesn't clear the cop, but it does blow up all the eyewitnesses stories that said he was fleeing and shot in the back.

this case we still aren't sure if Brown was surrendering or a threat. I don't really remember the thieves case, but if they were running away they weren't a threat.

Based on the entry wounds, i wouldnt say his hands were up when he got shot.

Some people(i dont think experts) have said it is indicative on raised arms and surrendering, but I don't see it why a cop would shoot that high.

it is a defensive wound. but you still gotta determine whether he was charging like the cop says.
