skeletons typically dont remain. fossils are different than skeletons. a vast, vast majority of living things dont leave remains behind and just decompose. only those that died under certain conditions fossilize and are preserved.

also, dinosaurs themselves completely on any biblical timeline
So we can prove the dinosaurs because of skeletons but at no time did we ever see any....stage of evolution....in skeletons. What are the odds?

I;m not a Bible fan but........it does mention giants will walk the earh.

i guess god was just ing around when he made the other 10^22 planets just for s and giggles then

i'm an all powerful celestial being that is the single cause for life in the universe, and im going to make countless amounts of random large spherical (nearly) blobs throughout this ridiculously large universe... but on just one of them i'll have life, team them my wavs, give them a book, etc.

it seems silly. it made more sense when christianity was young because we weren't aware of just how big the universe was
How many in the observable universe have life?

    we dont know.

it just seems like a waste of time to make 10^22 planets if you only give a about one of them

Most of the animal phyla that existed on our planet had no skeletons. They were soft bodied and very weird, but we got some really good imprints in the Burgess Shale. And what's cool is we find more all the time. Some huge discoveries have been made recently in China, the work continues.

So you believe all life was created separately, that God made each species on its own?
As opposed to coming from some sea creatures that became spiders, eagles, apes, goats......yep!

yep, an all knowing, all powerful, perfect being needed practice runs to build planets. and not 10, 20. not 100, 200. not 10,000. not 10 million, billion, or trillion. but 10^22

you act as though one creature must have given birth to all 4 of those. your understanding of the theory of evolution is so awful, its like discussing picasso's paintings with a blind man

Maybe they're needed to sustain the universe. Who knows. But to claim everything on Earth worked out perfectly for life to exist is a bit dumb. imo.

god made the universe. he can make it however he wants, he's ing god. it would never "need" other planets to be sustained. god can just say "it is sustained" and it would be... right?

its not just earth. as i said before, just with the raw numbers, there are probably millions of planets with nearly identical conditions to earth

    Ok then.

There is another explanation that involves science.
Its really very good. I would put it right there with Newton and Einstein as far as modern ideas that changed the way we think. It's good to have explanations other than spontaneous creation. Cancer, autoimmune disorders, the understanding of how these work comes from science. People are not real happy when the doctor tells them we can't do anything to prevent polio, it just happens.

    But to each his own.

probably, but as of now, no other life has been observed anywhere else in the universe.

you are correct. which is why i'll never say "i believe that other life exists." i'm certainly open to the possibility and the numbers would support it. i guess i would say "i believe that other life could very well exist outside of earth"

but there are probably plenty of planets with earth-like conditions, so i dont think its right to say "we are the only, perfect planet for life"

Isn't everything moving further away? Making that much harder to see?

our technology improves more rapidly though. we see much further now than we did 100 years ago, and you can say the same for basically every 100 year interval... excluding the 1,000 year jesus ages

All you can do is produce the evidence as best you can.

Its up to the individual to find ideas credible or not and read on their own.
Personally I find evolution fascinating, and not really the evolution of humans. Other aspects.

    Yes.

But the planets we have found are so close compared to the outer part of the universe, it really will make no difference at all. They are all well within our Galaxy. We will be able to keep up with these and so many more within our lifetimes easily.

No it's not, it's just that this is what we face.

Reptiles walk on four legs that sprawl from the sides of their bodies, a configuration that helps them to move through the water. ****Around 300 million years ago, a new family of reptiles appeared with legs****** that were positioned beneath the body instead to give better support for walking on the land. These new animals were the earliest ancestors of mammals, and they rose to dominate a landscape rich with plant and insect life. Early mammals also adapted to living on the land by evolving higher body temperatures. This allowed them to move faster over longer distances and more actively search for food. They could hunt any time of the day or night, in any season, and could survive further north or south in colder climates. They evolved hairs on their skin to retain body warmth in cold weather.

    So they...just appeared...hahahahaha!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ! That's evolution? Thery evolved hair...hahaha!!!!!!!!!

Where did the insects come from?

Will they ever be able to observe if they have life on them? Did you apply for that trip to Mars? I was thinking of going for it but I don't know.

    genetic mutation > genepool shift

    imo no.

I think the human race will be long gone before we have access to these guys way off.

    But...
There are a few moons around Saturn and Jupiter that look interesting.
Out of all of them I would say Europa. It most likely has liquid water, and a lot of it, buried beneath an ice layer. I believe we have plans to send a probe to drill thru the ice.

This is very exciting I think even if we don't find anything. You should read about Europa, it's really interesting. And maybe let me know how the probe is going, if it got axed, or if it's already on its way.

I would never ever apply to go into outer space, scares the out of me. I will go on camping trips to the middle of nowhere, but not space.

    im out...

I think it is perfectly logical to surmise that since there are billions of planets out there in space, there is a likely hood that there is also intelligent life out there as well.
That is not too great a stretch of the imagination.
And there is no reason not to believe that God did not create that life there as well.

I thought you did not believe in God.
Then how can you say God is anything if you don't believe He exists?
    That is truly moronic.
imagine I'm saying Zeus is blood thirsty.

Damn you guys are ing stupid. ing. Stupid.
