I can also guarantee you that I'm not the only one who shares this perception.If you are referring to me then you are making a wildly invalid "assumption" of my reaction.
I am just coldly reporting the facts as they occur with no emotional investment whatsoever.
And those facts are supported by the evidence inside every one of these threads with topics concerning God.

The word science was not even used till the 19th century.

The science of 1600 was wrong about a lot of things, just like the science of 1800 and the science of today. Or, they didn't know about something they should have. So there is a reason to question science.
No. I don't live my daily life with a faith in god. It doesn't affect me at all. I don't deny that god exists. It seems unlikely, but I just don't know . . . and neither do you. It's the faith that is missing. Get it?
I know very few, in fact, none, zip, zero, Christians and believers in God who deny science.
In fact I have many believer and Cristian friends who work in the science fields, and some who are nonbelievers as well, and none of them act the way the nonbelievers do here on this site.
That strikes me as being very telling.

I find that the discussions concerning science, religion, philosophy, to be fairly unsatisfying in the so called club.

That's a lot different than saying....I have no faith in God. That pretty says you don't believe in God. Not.....oh sure He could be out there but I don't live my lif...yakyakyak.

Both of these statements are blatant lies by blatant liars because they are mixing up and equating assumptions with facts.
The facts are neither one could be further from the truth.
But the truth does not matter to either of them, that is obvious from their many posts spouting blatant lies in their vain attempts to discredit.
These two are among the most unhappy of posters on this site IMHO.

But there are Christians here as educated and more so as those who are unbelievers on this site IMHO. I have had discussions with them.
To be fair there are many unbelievers on here who have very open minds and respect for their opposites, but I was referring to the vast majority of unbelievers on here whose only agenda is to ridicule, distort what we say, and misquote or take our quotes out of context.
We, and they, know who they are, they do it all the time with thousands of negative, lying, destructive, and demeaning posts to show for it.
I have, and do not need to have any emotional investment in it in order to be able to report on it.
It just is what it is.
You are the only one who is failing to understand the concept. What does that tell you?
