Seriously...wtf is wrong with our society where less than 20% of Americans make $100 k a year but celebs and athletes make re ed money? Anyhow, congrats to KD, he has a week to make the decision if he wants to take the offer or sign with Nike.

    10 year deal

If Under Armour wins the services of Durant, it would be the largest sponsorship deal the company has ever committed to. The average of $26.5 million to $28.5 million means that Under Armour would be devoting nearly 10 percent of its current annual marketing budget on him. Although Under Armour has given investors guidance that it might hit $3 billion in revenues this year, only about 1 percent of that is from basketball shoes.

Under Armor headquarters is in Baltimore. Just a short drive from Durants home town of DC.
The dots are starting to connect..........

If the revenues hit $3 billion this year, 1% of that is $30 mil. They'd be paying Durant around that much. Count the sales that Durant would be bringing in, the deal may not be so bad.

Their gym shorts and track pants are much better than Nike & Adidas though. But they are overpriced as sh!t.

Durant and armor just don't seem to go together. He wouldn't be strong enough to carry it.

It's like he should be the spokesman for Cottonelle.

I never really understood the American obsession with celebrities. Just because some guy who is famous is doing something doesn't mean that I should.

    a) A celebrity is likely much richer than I am or will ever be, so how can I ever afford to live like him?
    b) Celebrities live in a totally different world than I do. Their value systems are different, their jobs are different, their social circles are different, their everything is different. So it should reason that whatever that person uses has absolutely no relationship with what I should use
    c) They are already so rich, why should I sponsor them to get free stuff through the form of buying things for them? My money is better spent on myself or people who are poor but require the assistance.
    d) Living through celebrities through using the same brand is just pathetic. If I want to be as successful, I work hard. I don't go and wear the same clothes.

Why offer than much money to a guy that will make the smallest size "armor" look like an XL pajama shirt?

I was thinking the same thing. I remember when they were just the cool you wore underneath your pads. Brands like AND1 were bigger and Reebok was a monster compared to them. Crazy how much they blew up tbh.

It's not a done deal with UA. Nike can match what UA offers. UA was offering to build a gym in D.C. with Durants

^ And they'd have to appease Lebron now. No way Lebron makes less than Durant.
