I think defenses have pretty much figured out the read option. That's why I see RGIII struggling until he learns how to go through his progressions quickly and deliver accurate passes.

I still think we averaged like 5.5 something a carry on read option plays last year however but yeah it's not something that can be sustained long term. And what caused the division between him and shanny last year was him not wanting to run that

the two games we ran ZERO read option last year was Philly and Green Bay, the worst two games of the season. His threat of the run really helps our offense

This is going to have a very sad ending for RGIII, he's going to end up on the bench I said that back in his first season. Cousins was the better QB then also. RGIII is not the kind of guy who can play second string as we will be seeing before this season is over.
