Roster looks 100% bad
These guys remind me of the Nuggs of a couple years ago. They look like they could win right away with some coaching.

21 Thaddeus Young SF 26 6-8 230 Georgia Tech $9,410,869
Pek is the only player that I'd really want. Thad and Martin are both decent enough players who are sort of overpaid, given where their team is currently. After that, it's pretty much crap or potential crap all the way down.
Look at Bennett gaining all that weight back this month once he realized he wasn't going to be playing with LeBron

I see one or two holes on their bench, but that to me looks like a pretty good group for a ty team.
Part of me wishes I could have a summer team, like rich folks have summer houses. It would be nice to be able to root for certain franchises with high draft picks and consistent roster turnover like the Wolves and Sixers, and then to be able to go back to the Spurs when it's time for actual business. That's pretty much what DD does with the Ravens and Bills.
I think Brewer would start at the three, and Wiggins would play the two. Williams and Lavine would battle for the backup guard spots with Robinson, and Martin or Bud would be moved.
Mo Williams is horrible, Rubio can't shoot, Young is a nobody who used to have potential. Wiggins and Pekovic are it on that team. I'd be surprised if they won more games than Sacramento. They're going to be Lakers bad.
Potential for what? If Wiggins ins't the next McGrady that team will be rebuilding for a long time.
rubio is good, pekovič is solid, lavine looked like the next coming of westchimp and wiggins well we know. There is potential to create a solid team the right way.
i feel like they have a ton of "solid bench players" but the problem is they dont have many legit starters
Makes them ideal sellers at the deadline. I think some Eastern teams and West lower-seeded playoff teams will come calling.
They need picks (like the one they gave for Young).
More like . . .
PF - Young, Bennett
SF - Wiggins, Brewer, Hummel
C - Pekovic, Dieng, Turiaf
SG - Martin, Budinger, Muhammad
PG - Rubio, Williams, LaVine
- Brewer could start over Wiggins at the beginning of the season
- Barea is reportedly likely to be traded or waived, in which case the 15th spot likely goes to Robinson or Cunningham
LOL, what? Westbrook was an elite defensive player in college and way more talented offensively too. 's like calling Alex Len the second coming of Tim Duncan.
Should have a couple of Sportscenter highlights on their way to losing 50+ games tbh.
yeah but westbrook was still considered a reach at #4
Other than athleticism and both coming from UCLA, they have nothing in common.
Well yeah, Love should have gone #4. Westbrook at #5 wouldn't have been a stretch though with Mayo off the board.
Doesn't look half bad for one of my league pass picks. But other than that, pretty bad.
Looks awful from a winning perspective, tbh..
They have a pretty good shot at finishing last in the West, which is probably their best option, going forward..
Not to mention Pekovic is virtually guaranteed to miss at least 20 games, and he's their only reliable interior presence..
They have a couple of young prospects and some solid pieces mixed with a bunch of scrubs. You're crazy if you think they can win now.
The Thad trade just looks idiotic. I've never seen a team burn assets the way Minnesota has over the past few years. The saddest part about that is that that means they'll probably get nothing out of any of the talent they've acquired.
