That's a lot of money for a fringe top-five coach. Although, did we ever find out what Pop's new APY is?

10M for a coach is ridiculous. 10M for Doc Rivers is even more ridiculous. He should be thanking Sterling tbh..

Darn. Would have paid money to see what Tom, Chrissy Paul, ic and the rest of the proclaimers of "we wont play if Sterling is still the owner" would have really done.

You gotta admit it's impressive to see a coach turn DeAndre Jordan's contract into a great deal.

Tom knows he's an overrated coach so he probably takes Ballmer's loads on the face every day. He better for that kind of money.

The only coach in the entire world of sports who deserves 10m or more a year is Jose Mourinho tbh.

    Soccer
"Coaching" = passing out orange slices and telling the players to kick the ball

On that point, they probably should have moved him. The only way the Clips make it past OKC is for Hawes to start. (LAC isn't making it past the Spurs with Paul on their team.) While Jordan would be a fine third big, he would have more value as a trade piece, in my opinion. There has to be a team out there like Atlanta or Boston who's looking for a mobile shot-blocking center and would be willing to send over a good haul for one.

Jordan, while overrated, made good strides. If he continues to grow, he really covers up Blake's defensive deficiencies. Leaves them with some holes on offense, but that should be on CP3 & their wings to make up for that. I don't know, even with Hawes, if that team could survive with that defense in the playoffs (CP/Blake/Hawes).

They would theoretically be trading him for at least one defensive player. So it could end up being a move that would help them on that end. Also, CP3 is a fine defender for his position. He just shouldn't be the best perimeter defender on his team. Also, if Griffin can't be competent defensively, the Clips may as well hang them up right now. Now way they go anywhere if their best player only competes on one end of the floor.

No doubt. Especially because Griffin can't even afford to be just Dirk-level good defensively since he's not nearly as impactful offensively as Dirk was (and Jordan is no where near the defender that Tyson was).
