they are also #1 and 2 in assists
point guards/passers tend to rack up turnovers as well as assists. kobe is near the top of turnovers and field goal attempts. the fact that he's in the top 30 in assists on top of being REALLY high up there in field goal attempts and turnovers just implies that he is ridiculously ball dominant
Being ball dominant is what alpha males do.

its also why i think its a stretch to say the chris paul trade would have worked out the way lakerfans imagine. kobe wouldn't allow him to run the offense

God proves all the haters wrong again by being one of the top passers of all times. Its amazing God is 27th in all time assists considering he had to take a lot of FGs to help the Lakers win games. If God wanted to he could have averaged more assists per game than Magic Johnson but that would have resulted in losses for the Lakers because to win the Lakers needed God's scoring.
Whenever I doubt Kobe, Kobe4life comes here and reminds me how wrong I was

A shooting guard's main objective is to score points for his team. Some teams ask their shooting guards to bring up the ball as well; these players are known colloquially as combo guards.
Kobe is masterful tbh, he needs to score to win, but somebow still cracked top 30 all time assists. Impressive.
so when are you guys going to start laying the foundations for the Church of Kobe...
if you're that high in assists and field goals and turnovers it stops being impressive and just becomes high volume

If Kobe's assist #'s were ty the same re ed fat neck posters on here would be saying the same . When is it going to sink in that no matter what his accomplishments there will be critics on either side. These threads prove nothing and everything at the same time.
With the amount of years he has played and his usage% being only 27th on the all-time assist list is pretty bad, tbh.
When you play almost half your career with a guy who you literally pass to in the post and get an assist because he can't be stopped, well you better have a good amount of assists. Kirby is a good passer and playmaker tbh too but he also likes to chuck his teams out of Finals wins and hog the ball all the time
