Derek Carr

Surprised Xmas hasn't found this post. He probably googles this stuff a hundred times a day.
I don't see how Davis doesn't renew the lease eventually. It's kind of late in the game for a move, though I guess SA and LA have emergency stadia available.
I know I mess around but......
Football is always better when the Raiders are in the mix. I'd love to see them turn things around, first step.......stop those change of possesion penalties.
4 possessions, 4 touchdown drives, first of which came against Seattle starters. he even caught Sherman with a back shoulder throw to Moore to set up first and goal on the opening drive

Congrats on your Preseason Super Bowl win, Spurraider21.
thanks. it was a blast, something to be excited about before what history tells us will be a 4-12 season
whats the probability carr is named the starter?
pretty high. beat writers are all predicting him to start at this point. schaub hasn't done anything in the preseason and how he has his "sore elbow"...
MoJo and Carr on the same team, ya must be heartbroken. at least bortles looks great
He looked really solid last night...it'll be interesting to see how he progresses in real time and against the improved Ds of Denver and SD in that division. Much, much, better with him that the terrible Schaub.
i'm definitely expecting some rocky games from him, but as long as he doesn't look like the game is too big for him, there's no upside to benching him. same reason i think bortles should be starting
he has displayed good pocket presence and movement thus far
based on preseason performances, bridge, carr and bortles has outplayed the in bents and deserves to start
not sure in the case of bridgewater. he's looked good, but Cassel has actually played really well in the preseason. still, if they're even (and i know my team isn't competing anyway) i'd rather give the young guy experience.
bortles is looking off safeties and . the guy has it imo. the thing with him and carr is that the team around them isn't that great
Oh, reading that board--optimism is high this time of year in the East Bay...How has Khalil Mack looked this preseason?
90% of the posters on that board are ass. i like the site because they do have legitimate insiders during FA season.
mack looks good doing a lot of different things. has spent almost as much time lining up as a base DE as he has playing OLB. he's been surprisingly good against the run, driving the tackles backwards.
i haven't seen too many instances of him pinning his ears back and going for an edge rush
personally, i wouldn't start any of the rookies, and i don't think bridgewater has looked good at all. He looks pretty much like a young Shaub.
i dont really see the purpose of treading water with Henne or Schaub, unless you feel like ur rook is about to get destroyed a la david carr
Pretty much that. Check the oline first, then check how he slides and reads blitzes, then start him.
Did the Raiders to San Antonio thing die down? What's the stadium situation out in the East Bay?
Dennis Allen said he wants to see where Schaub's elbow is at before making a decision on the starter.
imo thats just bull for "i'm going to start carr, and will use schaub's elbow as an excuse." Allen had been talking up Schaub all offseason long, repeatedly calling him a top 10 QB. he just doesn't want to look stupid and say "yeah, i thought he was a top 10 qb, but im going to start this rookie over him." also for what its worth, Schaub will be away from the team this weekend for "personal reasons"
Another good nugget of news is that starting TE David Ausberry is expected to return to practice Monday. He missed the entire preseason but has the potential to be an impact player on what is otherwise a pathetic TE unit
Derek Carr officially named week 1 starter against the Jets
