Rajon Rondo has informed the Boston Celtics that he "wants out," according to a report.

Rondo has indicated that he will not re-sign with the Celtics in 2015 and that he would not re-sign with the Sacramento Kings, who have been linked to the point guard, either.

sucks for any team that overpays for a PG that can't shoot, dominates the ball and doesn't get along with his teammates, tbh..

Maybe the Lakers will figure something out..

PGs are a dime a dozen now. He may not get a max offer next summer. I can't think of fits for him or Rubio.

I still can't believe the hard-on this board had for Rondo 2-3 years back. The consensus here was that he was better than Parker, better than CP3, better than Rose. Of course this is the same board that 2 years before that said all the same about Deron Williams.

2yrs ago no one on this board could imagine the Spurs winning their 5th championship with a 38yr old Duncan and a 37yr old Manu, tbh.

I never bought the Rondo hype for a number of reasons:

    - Locker room cancer
    - Can't shoot
    - Chokes at the free throw line
    - Role player on stacked teams
    - Blatantly pads his stats specifically on nationally televised games and doesn't try as hard in non-national games (stats back this up)
    - Blatantly pads his assists by passing up easy shots at the rim and breaking down the offensive system

He's just not that good of a player, tbh, at least the media finally hopped off his when the Celtics stopped winning....

Him and Bledsoe will be in the same situation. Wanting max money and not worth it.

Yes. No team is willing to give them max money.
    Imo, 70mil/5year is possible..

Rondo has more of a reputation, good and bad. He's a multiple time all star but he has a rep as hard to coach and having a sour at ude.

I think they would have to wait to trade Thomas until January. They don't need both Thomas and Bledsoe along with Bradley I would think they would offer Len (2013 3rd overall pick) and Bledsoe.

People thought he was an elite point guard when he had Pierce, KG, and Allen around him. A lot easier to pad your assists and look good defensively when you are surrounded by All-Stars and have KG and Perkins behind you.

Ever since Boston's Big 3 broke up, Rondon(when he's actually been healthy) has looked exactly like what he is: an average point guard.

    2013 1st Rnd, 5th pick.

I don't think the Suns will give up Len.

I stand corrected. I think the Celtics would try to holdout for more back instead of a straight up deal. Maybe the Sun 2015 first round pick as well.

I think RR has some gas left in the tank, have you guys seen the last few games he played? He still has the ability to take the ball to the rim.

However there's tons of PGs and I'm sure he won't get max but a high amount.

I'd like to see him go to the knicks, he seems like a new york kind of player but he really wouldn't fit into the triangle at all I feel like unless he seriously improves his shot which doesn't look like will happen. I can definitely see houston pushing after him the hardest though, they have a clear need for a point guard and it would make them a big 3 if rondo could regain form.
