He and the rest of the Miami Heat 2014 roster should get MRI's on their psyches after they got pounded by the Spurs.

Even though that shot broke my heart, I find it hard to hate Ray Allen for it. It was probably the biggest shot in NBA finals history, degree of difficulty 10/10. I respect it.

PS It's a lot easier to say that in July 2014 that it was before the Finals...

Ray Allen. And if decides to come here then so be it. I cheered for Horry, I could cheer for mercenary Ray. But I don't think he sogns with SA. Setting the Bruce situation aside (hey Ray, take Kobe's advice on that - just shut up and play), he has always been pretty chippy with Manu too. But I hope he retires or coat tails Lebron again. Him signing in OKC would suck.

This guy is going to keep holding on to LeBron's peener til he wins another championship. Should've signed with OKC, but they've got Morrow already.

I know a lot of the Ray Allen hate goes all the way back to Bruce Bowen and Seattle, but I find it pretty funny.

Let's face it, Bruce did cheap shot him quite a bit, and Ray was justified in speaking out about it.

Thats what I was thinking. I don't like Ray Allen for "the shot", but I never really had a problem with him before that. I love Bowen, but lets face it dude was a dirty. That drop kick on Wally was proof enough for me. Spurs fans like to give him a pass because he was a Spur. But dude was a dirty player no doubt.

Don't want this coat-tailing mercenary on our team. I actually used to like Ray Ray back in his Milwaukee days as a kid. I loved watching that team with him, Big Dog, and Sam Cassel. Still think they were robbed in the 2001 ECF against Philly. But he's become quite a blowhard imo.

him going to Cleveland just levels the league even more. The more the league levels the easier the path for a repeat.

Other than finally losing his cool with Ray and kicking him, Bowen never did anything to Ray Allen other than crowd his space better than anyone, which made Ray cry to the officials and fake a limp with Seattle.

Ray was/is a . Plain and simple. Kobe never said a word about Bruce being dirty. Ray just couldn't take it.

I will say that Bruce kicking him that one time was intentional, but other than that, Bruce played Ray tight and Ray didn't like it so he cried about it.

I wouldn't mind if it's just for the RS, but you know Pop will hand him minutes in the playoffs over guys like Danny or Mills... I just rather the Spurs don't bring him in and put Pop in that position, tbh...
It actually seems like Pop is rewarding superior play more. He showed no hesitation pulling Parker for Mills late in games if Tony was ineffective.

Thats because Bowen couldn't really guard Kobe. He made stuff harder for him but he had nowhere the success he had while guarding Kobe verses Ray Allen. He for all intensive purposes used to shut down Allen. If he was hindering Kobe from scoring then Kobe probably would had complained.

Actually the best thing about Bowen's hindering Kobe was it caused Kobe to shoot even more. Even if he ended up with 30 it was often a horribly inefficient 30 that ruined the rest of the Lakers' offense.

    Cavs or retirement.

Ray will never go to another team without BronBron.

Tbh, don't want him anyway. Can't defend, can't create his own shot and is too old to learn our system. Much rather give Anderson those minutes and see what he's made of.

    It was the 2013-2014 Roster.
Fair enough, but if you just say "2013" most would assume that you're referring to the 12/13 season - similar to saying that the Spurs are the 2014 NBA Champions (when it was for the 13/14 season).

Regardless, it's not that big of a deal. I meant no harm and I apologize if you took any offense to it.

I think he would fit, that's just me. I also believe that running your defender through screen after screen, which our bigs would be more than willing to set, counts as creating your own shot, or at least creating space, thereby increasing your percentage exponentially. And on this offense, should he be signed, he would shoot the highest percentage of his career. He must have considered this.

While I agree that Allen would get a buffet of open shots here, I don't think that would be a far cry from Miami, which had three Top 10 players (at one point) attracting attention and were very adept at pitching out to their shooters. Allen was never really expected to create there and should be used to the spot up role at this point.

    Personally, I still say pass.
