I gotta say, I loved Splitter during this season, I think he was fantastic on defense.
But this tournement proves how brilliant pop's system is, it makes splitter a legitimate starter in a championship team

I can't believe that Brazil can't field a competent back court. A nation as big as that has got to have some decent guards somewhere. Or they could even try to naturalize some Americans who don't have a chance to make the US team. This nation has more than enough decent guards to go around.
Brazilian coaches are a bunch of dumb old s who just want to win. They don't develop players. just tell them to shoot threes. Brazil didn't even played as a team until Magnano arrived.

This is a portuguese heritage. Brazilian coaches don't like to waste time developing players. You will never see a Chip Engelland in any brazilian team, pro or not. The portuguese didn't build in Brazil, they just wanted gold or any assets they could take with less effort. They are lazy, don't like to work, to build and develop anything.
And this ing culture has deeply roots in the brazilian society ,not just in basketball. Wait until Rio 2016 and You will figure what I'm talking about.The chinese started developing players and athletes ten years before Beijing 2008. What's Brazil is doing? Nothing!
It's not only in sports, it's everywhere, everyday, everytime. Brazilians can't make plans, can't follow a schedule, they want imediate results for everything. That's why nothing Works there.
