2003 lakers 2014 heat 1999 lakers
I have to say, while I'm not a Spurs fan, that the top 3 teams that impress me the most are
1) Detrot Pistons 05: The best defensive team in NBA history, with solid coaching by Larry Brown. Their offense was nothing special but their defense was suffocating. Spurs managed to win, barely, but they did put away the defending champs.
2) Miami Heat: This was very impressive, Lebron started believing in his own hype that he was already surpassing Kobe and on his way to being the next Jordan when the Spurs reminded the choKING that he's LeFraud.
3) Lakers 2003: The only true defeat the Spurs ever enjoyed was finishing off the Lakers with Phil Jackson in 03. Granted the Lakers were exhausted and most key role players were injured from the 3 year championship run and Horry purposely played like to get traded. But it was impressive none the less granted it was the only key legit win against the Kobe-Shaq team. 1999 was just a joke, Rambis is a joke.

#1- 03 Lakers
#2- 05 Pistons
#3- 14 Heat
I might switch 2 and 3....they're pretty close tbh. #1 is still my all time fav series win. Basically I agree with your three teams....just different order.
I was proudest of beating the 05 Pistons.
I did a poll that basically answered this question in July. It got a pretty good response from Spurs Talk.

Honestly, I'm probably more proud of beating the Thunder last year than the Heat. OKC was, and still is, our boogey team with their athleticism. With the way Wade has declined I don't think the Heat were all that special in the last two seasons, they'd have been easily beaten in '13 by the Pistons, Lakers or early 2000s Spurs.
1999 & 2003 Lakers and it ain't even close man. The Lakers are our only rival who've had our number since the inception. Don't the Spurs have a winning record against every other team in the NBA?
2003 Lakers.
Wish the spurs would have taken out the pre-2000 Jazz at least once before their core went their own ways.
2003 Lakers
Pounding their asses was beautiful.
Duncan was just unreal, and Manu toyed with the Lakers
Making Kobe and co cry on national television was a sight to behold tbh
especially since the Spurs waxed that ass and Duncan went HAM. Basically we're asking if we're more proud of beating the defending champs, the back to back defending champs, or the three time defending champs. I'll take the three timers
2005 Suns with MVP Nash should be added. The only reason Nash has never played in a Finals is the Spurs.
You think Phil could have coached the Lakers to winning a game that series? That's a stretch.
Last year's OKC. Then the lakers in 2003. None of the teams we beat in the finals were a real "rivalry" what I mean by that is, we go head to head with WC team's way more than the east to hate any of them. I guess you can say last year's heat, but even at that I never really hated them as much as i hate kobe/shaq lakers or durant/westbrook/fisher thunder.
#43 Danny Crawford
#19 James Capers
#33 Zach Zarba
03 lakers for obvious reason
05 pistons for obvious reason
14 heat... man the redemption, Lebron leaving after the loss...
I think OKC should be on that list
2013 Lakers. they had dwight pau and nash. one of the greatest rosters of all time and we swept them
2014 Heat (Lebron)
2007 Cavaliers (Lebron)
1999 & 2003 Lakers
2005 Detroit Pistons
Loved Beating OKC, Dallas Mavericks & Phoenix Suns (Nash/Stoudemire)
Just the sheer joy of beating them!
Pistons 05
Heat 14
OKC 14
Well, that and never grasping the concept of "DEFENSE"
which was taught by the spurs, if it werent for us they wouldve won in 07 no doubt
THIS. As a kid, it was always agonizing watching those ers take out a helpless Admiral trying to carry Spurs teams on his back.
