Ali faced all the greats of his era and won against em all. He wasn't undefeated like Floyd but he will be remembered for never making a pacman fight happen. Ali's trainers told him to avoid foreman thinking he'd literally get killed in the ring and he went after him
There was way less politics in boxing back then. It was easy to make fights when you had less sanctioning bodies. As far as him fighting greats. Ali actually never fought a great fighter. He fought guys that were bruisers and heavy hitters but I wouldnt call Norton, Foreman or Frazier great. Liston, Moore and Patterson were old. My knock on Ali was he played around ing much during his fights... and it cost him jn some fights. He would show up grossly out of shape to figbts and that clip you posted proves it.

Lets be real. Floyd has made a career out of fighting Mexican fighters who are just brawlers and horrible pugilists. Mexican fighters are custom made to lose to Floyd's style, hes too tactical. In the meantime, he has completely been blessed to not have to face any great BLACK boxers in his era. The two fights he had the hardest time with outside of Jose Luis Castillo were against Mosley and Judah, both of whom were 5 years past their day and he still almost got KTFO.
Floyd is not even in the same arena as Sugar Ray Leonard or Tommy Hearrns. Not even beating Pac would change that.

I loved RJJ in his prime. He did have great hand speed, head movement and athleticism but his defense and tactical game was no where near as good as PBF. PBF throws cleaner punches and you could create an instructional DVD or Blu ray on how he slips punches and counters (in his prime). No one ever fought like Roy and nor should anyone try. the low hands peeking his head out like a chicken worked when he was 10x better than everyone ....once he started to slip he was done. He was not a great tactician only a good one with great athleticism. PBF has aged much better.

I once saw Hearns get beat so bad he was carried out of the ring like a baby. Ray Leonard ducked one of the best fighters of his era in Pryor. He also publicly refused to fight Hager until he saw some slippage in Haglers game. At only 32 years old he got the beat out of him by Terry Norris.
Floyd could easily take a paycut and fight Pac... but after seeing so many black American entertainers get raped by their managers and promoters I'm glad he's standing his ground. Floyd haters conviently forget that Floyd beat Hatton, Marquez, Corrales, and Castillo... and they were all in their prime. Floyd's longevity and dominance in such a brutal sport is unmatched. The fact that you dont know that Chavez and Burton was Floyd's toughest fights makes you unqualified to have this deba with me.

Pacquiao ducked Floyd twice by flip-flopping on the drug testing, tbh.... when they first tried to set up the fight, Pacquiao ducked it by demanding the testing.... when Floyd finally caved, Pacquiao again ducked him this time by refusing to be tested himself
Manny doesn't really give a about PED's either way, he just was desperate to not fight GOATweather by any means necessary because he knew he was going to lose....
Terrible comparison, Manziel doesn't have a 46-0 record and isn't the GOAT of his sport....
