It's just funny to see tbh. As we all know, we have been in your shoes before, many times. It gets worse before it gets better. It was just funny reading Horn fans this off-season thinking everything would just change and Strong would right the ship and you guys would be big 12 le contenders from the start. Doesn't work that way. In y'all's defense you haven't dealt with many coaching changes before but there's a real possibility that this hire doesn't work out. Just sayin'. Not saying that it absolutely won't but maybe it's time horn fans start tempering their expectations (I'm sure y'all already have after last night)

Glad it's not just me. He has some sort of lisp that makes him sound re ed. Not sure if it has any correlation to his coaching but personally I'd feel uncomfortable putting someone that sounds like that in charge of a multi-million dollar operation.

People like to make it about race but I'm pretty sure the reason he struggled to get a head coaching job is the way he sounded during interviews.

Your threads have to be pretty stupid to be deleted on Spurstalk. This is one of the least regulated popular forums on the web. I mean there are nazis, pimps, and someone who calls themself "Timothy Mcveigh" in order to make light of the Oklahoma City bombings on here. It's basically the wild wild west out here.

Using a derogatory term some might say was derived from a ' phobic slur' in that same sentence, of all places. Were you trying to be cute, or are you really that stupid?

It's nice to know mods think they can delete whatever they feel like without explaining themselves. Spurstalk has a lot of garbage sometimes, but I remember one of the owners once stated something to the effect that they preferred open discussions to the 'thought police' mentality of other sites (spursreport). The mods there let their 'power' go to their heads, and started deleting or banning whatever they didn't like. I have no problem (and actually prefer) a middle ground that cuts out the racist garbage - just explain yourself when you do it to avoid the appearance of impropriety. Your'e not actually 'above us all,' you're just internet forum moderators. Sorry to break it to you. You ever happen to moderate spursreport, by the way?

Kind of missing the point - I don't care about the thread itself. I've already had leave spursreport for this site; I'd rather not see arrogant spurstalk mods start down that path. The suggestions I pointed out were not unreasonable (and a snarky mod reply referring to the 'aggy' coach does not inspire confidence of neutral moderation).
