2010s - Fancy
2000s - My Humps
1990s - Wannabe
Not not necessarily the top song of the decade, but one song that can capture the feel of the overall decade. No right or wrong answers.
80s - U2 Where the streets have no name
2010s - Fancy
2000s - My Humps
1990s - Wannabe

This was the song of the 90's easily the best song ever.
Video gave me nightmares, this is a great song to represent the 80's
Tears for fears...that's a good pick for 80s. Reminds me of real genius.

real genius is an all time fave for me. Everybody Wants to Rule the World is a perfect pop song imo, so I tried to think of pop songs that had a certain sound or mood associated with that time. another song for the 80s I thought about was Once in a Lifetime by Talking Heads. like you said, there are no perfect choices though.
