Best part of article is when Nash describes him in three words: Mother en Asshole ... that was awesome and perfect. In both a good and bad way that is Kobe like Mj before him ...MJ was just better at hiding it, greater at winning.

It was just an opinion. He could very well be misinformed ... but it is just his rankings. Just as ty as 99% of the posters on here tbh ...
But head-scratching nonetheless. It's like saying Rony Seikaly is a top 10 low post scorer of all time.

Racist for sure, that really goes without saying.

I actually thought that Bird was overrated in his days, but is becoming underrated as time passes on. Almost like the reverse of Hakeem. Part of it has to do with his injuries, and part of it has to do with the fact that he is not overly athletic. His defense was also undersold mostly because he's unathletic and white (Magic wasn't that athletic either, but he's a brother so it's all fine), which is really a shame because that is what ignorant racists do.

When you look at Bird's ability to anticipate, it's really unbelievable. His defense was much better than what people give him credit for specifically because of his ability to anticipate as well.

Phenomenal passer, great shooter, clutch as they come, dirty, and one of the best trash talkers. Bird is no doubt a top 10, and his peak rivals the peak of anyone who ever played (including Kareem, MJ, and Shaq).

Troll-baiting is all fun and good, but it's a shame people are being racist about it. it absolutely ignores the significance of racism, and undermines issues the league has faced and is facing right now.
What? Hakeem would have a greater impact today than Bird due just on his athleticism alone.

Not saying about impact in today's game but how Hakeem was underrated while he was playing and generally getting overated now.

People make is sound like he could do no wrong in the 90s, and generally ignored the low point of the late 80s/early 90s of his career.

He was in the finals in his second year, then those teams broke down due to drugs and injuries. What help did he have?

Robinson put up a great run in his rookie year. The team broke up because McCombs was cheap and Robinson had no help. Robinson didn't get the pass.

The Spurs were and are a better organization. They had many winning seasons before Robinson got there, the Rockets a lot of losing season before Hakeem got there. Still, no superstar wins without help.

You must not have followed the Spurs in the late 80s, early 90s. The Spurs in the 90s was a model in pissing away the prime of an NBA HoFer. At least the Rockets had Moses Malone and made the finals, what did the Spurs have to show for with Gervin?

Letting go of Rod Strickland and getting Vinny Del Negro as a replacement, selling the group that Lloyd Daniels was the saviour, Jerry Tarkanian, Bob Hill, John Lucas to replace Larry Brown? Getting Avery Johnson, a third string guard that was cut by the Rockets as the best PG Robinson had in his prime? Vinny Del Negro (has to repeat this, because it was really that bad)? JR Reid, Antoine Carr? Getting Rodman and not having any discipline around him? Way over the hill Chuck Person and Dale Ellis?

How in the world is that a better organization?

And I agree with no superstar wins without help, but then Robinson wasn't afforded the same grace, did he?

So who do you drop off the top 5 list to make room for Kobe?
    1) Jordan
    2) Kareem
    3) Wilt
    4) Russell
    5) Duncan
    6) Hakeem
    7) Shaq
    8) Moses
    9) Magic
    10) Bird
    11) Lebron
Does not compute. Are you saying that most people have Hakeem even higher than 6 all time? Because they don't.

Hey give him a break. He's been watching basketball for like 5 years so he's just as much of an expert on stuff that happened 20 years ago since he watched a highlight video and read a few troll posts about it.

So he can easily call DRob a ty player even though he was practically Jordan-tier in his prime, not that he'd know that. Revisionist historians at work.
