"in business" !![]()
It was pretty cool. The military would strip out the lower receiver and sell all the other parts at almost scrap price. All you had to buy new was a lower and a parts kit and you were in business for less than $300.

Just gun talk I guess. I don't believe they jam nearly as much as you believe they do. I also know they can be extremely accurate for a semi-auto rifle. Water, sand, and dirt don't foul the action like you think either.
Ive heard of google before.

the average engagement happens at about between 50 and 300 yards..which is exactly where the AR is strongest at. lol at it not being an accurate weapon. they can be 1" MOA at 100 yards. your 30 06 is a hunting weapon and wouldn't be good for warfare, which is why the US military doesn't carry them instead of the AR. i think they know more than some effeminate race traitor on spurstalk.com.
it's rugged enough for desert warfare with a dust guard you dumb ass
The military doesn't carry ARs, you ing hack. If it wasn't fully automatic it would be drastically less effective.
Semi-automatic.
"Lookit mah gun"
"I bought a gun for engagements"
Wtf do you do? Play army with your friends? If you need to use a gun in a life or death situation in civilian life chances are the target is going to be less than 10 yards away.
the AR15 is the civilian version of the m4..you can't get a real m4 without expensive permits
pro tip: full auto is ing useless...military only uses semi and 3 round burst
It's an M16, not an M4. Nice try.
gun knowledge
that's really not your concern, just know that firefights happen typically between those distances. the AR is a good all round close range to mid distance weapon. they have sniper rifles and trained snipers for longer shots.
LOLOLOLOL
the self ownage continues
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/M4_carbine
ing pleb you've never shot a gun before honestly have you?
And in the very first line of that link:
The M4 carbine is a family of firearms that was derived from earlier carbine versions of the M16 rifle
Under the AR-15 wiki, meanwhile:
The AR-15 was first built by ArmaLite as a small arms rifle for the United States armed forces. Because of financial problems, ArmaLite sold the AR-15 design to Colt. After modifications (most notably the relocation of the charging handle from under the carrying handle like the AR-10 to the rear of the receiver), the new redesigned rifle was subsequently adopted as the M16 rifle.
Like I said. You're a kid with a single gun and you think you're a badass.![]()
"I'm 21 and scared to death of everyone so I got a gun to make me feel like a man."
lmao muh m4 is not an m16 hurrrr
"The M4 carbine is a family of firearms that was derived from earlier carbine versions of the M16 rifle, which was in turn derived from the original AR-15 rifle that Eugene Stonerdesigned and ArmaLite manufactured. The M4 is a shorter and lighter variant of the M16A2 assault rifle. It is a gas-operated, magazine-fed, selective fire, shoulder-fired weaponwith a telescoping stock and 14.5 in (370 mm) barrel to ease close quarters combat. Like the rest of the M16 family, it fires the .223 caliber, or 5.56 mm NATO round."

here comes the semantics arguments where he tries to pretend he was right all alonggo to bed clown, the m4 is an m16 variant and both came from the AR15. an m16 is a modified AR15 for military use. the main differences is the select fire instead of just semiauto.
b-b-b-ut you just got one gun![]()
keep telling yourself that pussy, i'm ing stacked
an m4 is just an improved, newer m16:
"The M4 carbine is heavily used by the U.S military. It will eventually replace the M16 rifle for most combat units in the United States Army.[6] The winner of the Individual Carbinecompe ion was to supplement the M4 carbine in U.S. Army service; all other services will continue using the M4 carbine and M16 rifles.[7] The Army cancelled the Individual Carbine compe ion without selecting a replacement rifle and instead plans to equip soldiers with the improved M4A1"
the military is already starting to move towards the m4 because it's lighter and smaller but just as accurate
Seems like you're just trying to convince yourself at this point. Also lol at you being stacked. That's not true in any sense.
Nah a simple wiki search did all of the convincing. It seems that you don't care about facts or reason you're just here to cut me down.
im ing stacked and always acquiring more guns. Next is a combat shotgun still deciding between a mossberg and a Remington
I'm going to need to donate my safe to a relative and buy a bigger safe soon because it's getting full
If you actually knew what you were talking about you wouldn't need to do a wiki search. I'm not here to cut you down, just getting you to enter keywords.
He wouldnt believe it just because I said so that's why you post proof. He said "it's an m16 not an m4!" All smugly which was wrong for two reasons. The military uses both and an m4 IS an m16 variant. He doesn't know guns and neither do you, you're just here to post and troll but I already knew that.
Like I said if you knew what you were talking about, you wouldn't need wikipedia. And again, not here to troll per se.
i don't "need" wikipedia, i referenced it for him to read you idiot
If you needed it enough to say what you needed to say, then you did. And you were still wrong btw. It's pretty clear the M16 and the M4 are not the same weapon.
