Thousands of assault weapons sold illegally to Mexico from US. Gun show loopholes, straw buyers, yada yada. Dying children. Assault weapons evil. We need to ban assault weapons. Media would slurp it up.

I can't think of any other reason Holder would again refuse to turn over the requested do ents. This has to be bigger than just a botched gun smuggling/tracking mess up.

So all that is already known without FnF, so I'm not getting how that would reveal anything new.

I think he's refusing to comply to run out the clock as much as possible. The details of how many guns got away and the failure to arrest anyone high on the cartel totem poles are just embarrassing, and Holder has little to lose by stonewalling. May as well stall til the new AG takes office after the election. No big conspiracy.
