He still makes young mistakes, but I can only see Rodgers as a better option right now.

He's a bit overrated right now tbh. I'd take him over any QB but Rodgers because of his potential, but if I needed a QB to win me a big game there are several I'd pick before him.

Overrated? He's earned it after 4 weeks and playing behind that horrible OL. He's on pace for 5K yards and 52 tds. Yeah, he'll probably fall somewhere in the high 30s or mid 40's, but he is arguably the 2nd or 3rd best in the league behind Rivers and Rodgers. Rivers gets the nod because he's beaten the defending champs and played the 2nd best D (Arizona) pretty well. Having a great deal of game winning drives and winning that playoff game puts him in the discussion with Manning and Rodgers in that clutch category.

Has Peyton Manning retired and I just didn't hear about it?

I'd rate Manning at a close 3rd/maybe in 3rd at this point. I'm not judging by career at the moment. He's been good but when you had a year like 2013, there is a standard you're held to. Yes, regression happens but right now Rivers has increased his completion percentage 5% points and has played a tougher schedule than Denver has. He also beat Seattle while Peyton was shutdown for about 3 1/4 quarters up in the CLink. I can't rate him the best after one 80 yrd drive as his signature move this early. He could be the best by the end of the reg. season or Luck could continue on this clip and ascend to the upper echelon.

We're four games into the season right now ffs. If we're just basing it on that then yeah, but overall I'd still take both Manning's, Rodgers, Brady, Brees, and Rivers over him.

I agree Rivers is right there, but I just think Manning should still be mentioned too. Luck hasn't even faced a single good defense yet.

Eli Manning and Brady, no. Again, we are talking about this short year. Right now Luck is playing great. We're not discussing career. Get that out of your head--Id take Rivers ahead of him and then him; the rest is merely subjective based on opinions at this point.

Of course there will be holes in the argument for who is QBing the best right now--its only a month into the new season. Luck has faced 2 good defenses this year. Well, one that was a good pass defense (Tennessee) and the other is vastly improved (Denver) so to say he hasn't faced a good defense is a farce.

Tbf, if we're just going by the first four games we could say Andy ing Dalton is a top QB as well. Its ridiculous to be making these observations this early. In a month it'll be more viable.

We'll see after Sunday. I don't know if he's quite the player people are making him out to be, but I like him a lot. Would trade Flacco for him in the regular season, that's for sure.
