Not sure why you guys are arguing. They are all M16 variants but different enough that they all have different military designations and parts are not necessarily interchangeable.

I'm not trying to argue with him, he's either trolling or has a comprehension disorder. I said you can't own a real m4 without expensive permits and he corrected me all like "it's an m16, not an m4!" As if they aren't the same thing. I thought it was funny.

I'm pretty sure the permit is still $200. They are so expensive now because you have to buy a grandfathered one from before 86. Before 86 I built and registered mine for under $600. It was fun when I could by mil spec ammo for 8 cents a round. Not so much when it jumped to 20 cents. I sold it to a guy that wanted it a of a lot more than I did for $6800. Now at 50 cents a round for green tip it wouldn't even be fun to shoot.

Yes dude I go to the range like once a month now because ammo is so damn high and I don't want to use up my cache. That green tip is hard to find sometimes unless you go to like a gun shop and pay more than the Walmart and academy prices. But you'll need it to penetrate commie armor.

Green tip is just 62 grain NATO spec FMJ. I've seen it down to 42 cents lately in 1K bulk.

That green tip is steel penetrating, 42 cents is a good buy but I've negdr come across it in that type of bulk up here

Oh, it's cheaper but still a pain in the ass. IMHO not worth the effort for plinking ammo. I will only mess with working up accuracy loads for bolt actions.

What a loser. It just rips your heart out that I happen to keep a lot of cash around just because I can. it's amazing how much money you can make on side deals when you can deal ASAP in cash. Fact is, a guy is on his way over right now with a truck I am going to give him 6K cash for that I will flip for almost twice that much. It is what it is.

Ahhh even sweeter. The truck was cherry and I ended up having to give him $7000 in hundred dollar bills for the clean blue le.

Carmax just offerred me $16,000 for it.

Thanks but no thanks. I'm not getting my happy ass put on the watch list. I like traveling unmolested too much. We go back and forth from Florida to the Bahamas fishing on a 64 Viking and I don't need homeland security shaking us down every time. Not my boat unfortunately but I would still be on the manifest after we yellow flagged in the Bahamas.
