I'm looking to lay enough slab for a half ball court. has anyone done this or been involved in doing? What's the cost going to be? I probably won't do any of the work myself.

I'd say way more than $10K concrete, based on a much smaller slab estimate for an addition to my house.

how many square feet? half an nba court would be like 2350 but the calculator only went to 1500.

I'm looking at 50x50. I lowered the other meters and guesstimated. I guesstimate that I will now just build a free throw lane.

why not go pine wood floor boards? might be cheaper?

I don't know now. I talked to a guy yesterday who said he would do the work for $1.30 per sq. foot. With materials, it's gonna be around $4 so it looks like $10,000 for the slab. But was also looking at some of the premade court materials. On one of the websites, it mentioned not having to lay slab but being able to put it on leveled and packed dirt. I think it would be less than $10,000 but not sure I buy the idea of putting it on the dirt.

Any other alternatives?

I didn't even know what the this was so I had to Google it. We just moved out to the country (sort of) to 10 acres. No HOA or any city rules. I don't think it's a problem but I will check. The guy that does the slab lives in the same neighborhood so I think would know. Or I'll say, "impervious cover limit", and he'll go "wot?".
