That is stupid-ass analysis, tbh. Melo is an alpha led his team in scoring and was top 5 in teh league yet his team was irrelevant. Love last year? Ditto.
I was just pointing out Kobe could put up points and it still be bad for the Lakers. if he can raise his assists from 5 to 6 or 7 while getting 20 per game that would be helpful. But him getting 30 doesnt make "us (team) relevant ... and what does scoring have to do with being alpha? Tony scores more than Duncan, Manu more than Kiwi does that make Tony and Manu the alphas of the Spurs?
Blake is your best player and leading scorer yet Paul leads your team. This board has some of the dumbest definitions of alpha on the interwebs, tbh.
CN being a proud spokesman for that cause, even if you are trollin'![]()

Does the thirteenth option really count as a sidekick?
As long as they have Kobe, they'll have the hype machine that generates this type of .

After the debacle that was last season, I think it's okay if Laker fans get a little hyped about this years team.
because they will sell a lot of jerseys..
i'll make sure to keep them relevant whenever they lose, so there's that..
It's the 2nd biggest market so anything coming out of L.A. is always going to be tied with the legacy that is the Lakers. Like the Yankees or the Steelers and Celtics that even when the team is disparage in talent, they will always be newsworthy. Whether it is for good or bad reasons is irrelevant. Frankly, it'll go on until not one of us is breathing or the NBA ceases to exist.
He will, He'll averge 30 pts on 40 attempts and they'll finish 10th in the west.
You're gonna be one very busy man....
This. ers ain't the Spurs. They want the spotlight, gotta take the good with the Bad.
Lakers.
