i haven't had this feeling in so long. this team looks amazing, cowboy family. those decades of being losers/mediocre were hard to endure as fans of such a prestigious franchise. fans of scrub teams with not even half the history of our club mocked us and spit on us when we were down. cowboy family, now is the time we dust off those jerseys and paraphernalia and let our fanhood be known. no more hiding in the shadows. those of you who jumped ship and turned in your fanhood card, i am here to tell you, you are forgiven. the swagboys are bacc, rejoice

4 catches on 10 targets... eh i'd call it a draw if anything
Only 2 of which were on Sherman. They lined up across from each other 48 times. 2 catches, 39 yards, and two poor penalties, one of which could've gone either way as Dez extended his arm first. So no, definitely no victory either way. That back shoulder leaping catch was nice though.

So Dez won ^. Caught 50% of the balls in Sherman's face and would have been even more yards/catches without the penalty because he couldn't stop Dez. They aren't going to throw at him 12 times. They threw right at him though 5-6 times and he couldn't do much to stop Dez and his team lost.

False. Caught 33% of the balls, targeted six times with Sherm on him, 2-6. He actually defensed him pretty well, and his team didn't lose on account of his play, it was the offense that didn't show up. Add that to the fact that he shadowed him most of the game, we can start to put this "left side" nonsense to bed. Plus, most of the balls thrown didn't have Thomas in a play making position. Didn't do much to stop him? That's outlandish, and just as bad as me saying that Sherm shut him down. The "trip" was a tackle, it happened post catch. Go back and look. 2nd quarter, 1:02 on the clock. That was the only play where Dez could've had an opportunity to gain any sort of significant yardage post catch.

No - you are couting the targets without catches but not the penalties.

Dez > Sherm. Also at the "put to bed" comment because Sherm finally decided to come out of his protective s for a little while. There reason there's any "non-sense" is because he sticks to one side the majority of the time seemingly.

One penalty was on an actual catch, and it was added to the end of the run. And the other, you are assuming that he would've caught the actual pass attempt, or that he ac ulates an extra 8 yards or so. Big deal

He came out of his "s ", because we're down so many DB's (lost another during that game as well), and it would've been counter productive at that point to allow some scrub at the end of the rotation to get torched by Dez. You know, the same guy who gave up over 20 yards on a 3rd and 20 in the 4th quarter which was probably the most pivotal play of the game. It makes no sense to follow a WR around and compromise the defense in order to answer critics. Criticize all you want, we won a SB that way

That's fine, just don't then use some random throw away line like "put that to bed" when you yourself just validated the criticism.

Amazing how much better the Cowboys are when they don't throw the ball 70 times a game.

Or is the reverse true: Do the COwboys not need to throw 70 times a game because they are good(and not playing from behind.)

Don't think so. They were up 26-3 at halftime against Green Bay last year and lost. They handed the ball to Murray three times in the 4th quarter. That's not playing from behind. That's throwing the ball with a lead. They did the much the same thing against Detroit and San Diego and Kansas City, all winnable games, any one of which would have put them in the playoffs. Chicago and New Orleans are the only games I can think of where you can say they just got beat.
