Cotton was complete trash - given a couple of solid opportunities this preseason with Patty out, and TP sitting a game, he completely the bed.

Spurs real problem now is which player will be happy to be sitting games. Ayers, Baynes, Daye, Anderson, Joseph all appear to be in top shape and aren't ready to sit!

You can dress 13 for a given game now, so it won't be much of an issue. Patty is out and Anderson will spend some quality time in Austin while Pop plays "mad scientist" early in the year with the rotations. I'm pretty sure everyone will get their chances to prove out.

After the last few games, I have:

Duncan, Bonner, Daye,
Splitter, Diaw, Ayres, Baynes,
Leonard, Belinelli, Anderson
Green, Ginobili
Parker, Joseph

I think Daye will get the nod over Bonner in the beginning of the season to see what he has. Ayres and Baynes will rotate based on who is screwing up the least.

i haven't seen much of pre-season. i'm a little surprised Cotton didn't make it. I always thought Siva would have been a better candidate anyways. But i thought Cotton seemed decent from summer league.

If the spurs cut J Green, instead of Ayers. That's about the same Spursy move as bringing in Cotton instead of Siva.

You need to understand that the Spurs are not cutting a guaranteed contract of almost $2M.
