Only thing I'm concerned about is the health of Kawhi. I have a feeling he'll play Tuesday. At least I hope so since I'll be at the game.

Rookie guard/forward Kyle Anderson, whom the Spurs drafted this summer, has seen time on the floor in the preseason and has impressed Popovich. He has work to do but could be the only new addition to the team because the Spurs have a cut to make before the season starts.

The veterans were using preseason to get in gameshape. Not wanting to risk a knee/ankle injury, hamstring pull, or twisted ankle before season starts. So I doubt they were going at 100%. The only guys trying to impress would be the rookies, training camp, and end of bench players. The Spurs will be ok at the beginning of season but may not be back to form until midway point, my guess would be. Once they get back to rhythm and they get past these little injuries.

Pop is just being honest, but I don't sense he is one bit worried, from what I have read so far.

Spurs won 3 out of 7 preseason games last year and 2 out of 7 this year.

    I'm very unconcerned.
Well, there you go. No worries.

nah...I wouldn't be surprised if they start like last year, beat all the teams they are supposed to beat and lose to most of the playoff teams.
I'm actually expecting this to happen unfortunately. These ol' sports aren't going to turn it on until later, much later. the spurs didn't even really turn it on until game 7 against Dallas

I really do not expect them to win the first game against Dallas tbqh.

EDIT: But I really do not see it as something to be concerned about.

Let the early cliff jumping begin. Please turn these concerns into wrist slitting please.

I am not concerned about the Spurs' performance this preseason. From what I saw, there were definitely flashes of the insane ball movement that defined the le run. It wasn't as if they only did it for one play a quarter, it looked like it could be rather consistent. I noticed a couple more unusual movements (maybe Messina's doing?) but that is nothing that time won't fix. Overall, I am pleased with what I saw. If I had a concern, it would be defensive rebounding. Maybe this will be fixed when Splitter returns as the Spurs have another big body to box people out.

Nope. Since the arrival of Kawhi Leonard our Spurs has been progressing well. Going to the Western Conference Finals three years in a row and going to the NBA finals two years in a row. Looking at that trend leads to conclude back to back le is the next progression! Amen.

There's one thing that's worth being concerned about and it's the high usage of BelinoD tbh...

Only thing I'm concerned about is how much longer this eye infection is going to keep Leonard out.

is this a record for earliest cliff-jumping thread, tbh?..

Can't wait for the "Warriors/Clippers look unbeatable" threads at the end of November, too..

Really? We are talking about the preseason where 2 of our starters are sitting out as well as a key bench player.
