Stafford may be ranked too high, but I give him props for being a gamer while missing some huge pieces. Romo and Palmer may be ranked too low, but I'm factoring in their inevitable facepalm games that'll surface at some point

I would put Romo 3rd. He's better than Ryan or Stafford. I would put Wilson over Kaep and probably over Cutler who sucks. Don't know where Foles fits in. He's not nearly as good as last season.

    1. Rodgers - he can just make some disgusting throws that nobody else in the NFL can. had an off game today
    2. Brees - was money today, hasn't had a phenomenal season, but the NFC QB crop isn't that great, so he's still pretty safe here

    3. Romo - he's thrived in the run/action offense. less responsibility, less mistakes. has basically been a better Wilson this year, albeit with better weapons
    4. Wilson - his performance against Dallas has been overblown, as if it represents his body of work. has had a solid season, but he's going to need to play better
    5. Palmer - poor overall game today, but still has one of the best deep balls in the NFL. arizona is a different team when the bomb is a threat
    6. Eli - i'm still not buying it. i think he's a guy who's legacy will overestimate him, but he's played well in the last month with a limited offense around him
    7. Ryan - everybody expected a big bounce-back year with Jones back, and their pass offense has disappointed. he's criminally underrated as a last minute of the game QB. one of the best
    8. Stafford - predictably has been mediocre with his cheat code WR on the shelf, and its not like they have no other legit receivers. he's not that accurate and doesn't make good reads
    9. Foles - most inconsistent QB in the conference. looks like a big time franchise guy one game, looks like a middling talent the next game. its also likely his offense inflates him

this is my cutoff from guys i like to guys i dont like. the teams above this list should be satisfied with their QB, the teams below should look to improve

    10. Kaep - impressed against St. Louis, but that was St. Louis. i just dont have faith in his ability to drop back and release the ball with timing
    11. Cutler - i'm a personal fan of his, but he's played like dog for most of this year. lazy mechanics have regressed. having great weapons made him lazy as far as making reads too
    12. Newton - he's disappointed this year. i had him > Kaep going in. Benjamin and Olsen are legit targets, but he's just slow with decisions, inaccurate
    13. Austin Davis - not that accurate, but the kid has huevos. he has the "compe or" thing going for him. he's a good backup QB who can come in and make plays, not a starter
    14. Mike Glennon - he's more accurate than Davis but he plays without balls. he plays scared
    15. McCoy - just bad. no timing, noodle arm. he's aggressive, which can be cool, but he makes decisions that his arm can't deliver
    16. Bridgewater - he looks like he should be redshirting. is really hesitant, doesn't make decisions. not getting sacked/picked is a success for him

Short memories up here. Up until two games ago, Newton was having his best passing year ever. I guess a loss to Seattle does that to you (lol)

Palmer is vastly underrated for a few reasons:

    1. People still see him as interception-prone. While he still tries to fit the ball in to right windows every now and then, he's much better at finding the open man or check down. He has only one interception on the year, and it came off a tip drill.

    2. People see his low completion percentage and assume bad throws. While yesterday he missed a few, three misses were Floyd incomprehensibly dropping a TD and two other passes, and 8-10 others were deliberate incompletes to avoid a sack. He's showing incredible judgment on where, when, and who gets the ball.

    3. He doesn't have mind-blowing numbers. But he has an efficient 2-TD per average, factor with stronger running game, and he's a ridiculously dangerous QB who has helped Arizona lead NFL in plays over 30 yards thus far (or some stat like it). He makes good decisions and Cardinal drives typically control tempo and clock.

Fact is, in his last 13 games as a Cardinal he has 24 TDs and just 10 INTs, and the Cardinals are 12-2 in those games with wins at Seattle, and over Indy, Philly, Chargers. Maybe not the hardest schedule, but factor in a second Philly game and Denver game on the road, and two 49ers home games and the 14-3 in their last 17 games is pretty damned impressive.

A huge bit of credit going to Palmer no longer having a 1-1 TD/INT ratio, but a 2.4/1.

    I'd have him 6th.

    1. Rodgers
    2. Brees
    3. Wilson
    4. Foles
    5. Romo
    6. Palmer
    7. Newton
    8. Stafford
    9. Kaepernick
    10. Ryan
    11. Manning
    12. Cutler
    13. Washington QBs
    14. St. Louis QBs
    15. Minnesota QBs
    16. Tampa Bay QBs

But I'm not just looking at stats, but records, and whom and how they beat their opponents.
