    I'm not sure many people EXPECT a win tonight. I won't be surprised by a win or a loss. The Spurs are minus 3 players who played a significant role in the Championship run last year and another who is coming off a broken leg. If we win, great; everyone but the Mavs goes home happy. I think the Spurs are going to probably have a very interesting or challenging couple of weeks until rotations get settled and their injuries/health get better.

    In the meantime, it will be great to see some role players have to step up and produce more. -- NOT ANDERSON. Way too early to expect any sort of contributions from him. Don't get me wrong, they may find some spot minutes for him in order to give others a rest but Slo-Mo will be trying not to make too many mistakes out there this year.

    Don't the defending champs normally lose the ring game the past 10-15 years? Seems to be that way. One game doesn't make a season but it's still way too early to judge either team no matter who wins.
