yeah that's where all momentum died. good drive, we were having success on the ground until that point (as long as they weren't feeding MJD)... and cleveland got a big play on their first play after that. game over
- so he took "dungy's team" to the SB... but do people ever say Callahan took "gruden's team" to the SB? its a weird double standard
- the bucs had the worst cap situation in the NFL and they traded 2 firsts AND 2 seconds to get gruden... so they really had nowhere to go but down
i wouldn't bet on him leaving either, and retread coaches rarely work anyway. the main reason i'd advocate him coming over is because he'd actually be able to assemble a good coaching staff. good coordinators won't agree to work under a mediocre, unproven coach, but they'd do so for gruden. it would also make us slightly more attractive to free agents

that was my dream draft for the jags![]()
held while being double teamed by Joe Thomas and left guard

One thing for sure Carr is the real deal. I'm impressed.
yeah the rookie class this year has been a bright spot. it might be the only reason the GM doesn't get fired
Constantly playing from behind, constantly in third and long and the kid is pretty cool as far as Carr goes.
Yep, another draft and a few stud free agent signings and the retirement of Manning, there is a light in the tunnel.
we will have the most cap space in the league yet again this summer, but so far this GM has been a complete flop when it comes to free agency. hopefully we make some noise this time around
Gruden will make FA more exciting for you guys, just throw money at Demaryius/Cobb and hope it sticks![]()
Cobb is realistic, and is the one I'm hoping for. A decker type deal seems fair
Khalil Mack is a stud. I'd take Anthony Barr slightly over him but either one you can't go wrong with.
why would you waste money on wr if you don't have an offensive line...
Cuz. It's the Raiders, duh.
the raiders o-line has been very strong in pass protection this year. the run game is a different story, although McFadden has been having some success in recent weeks. Donald Penn has actually had a better season than Veldheerand the rookie LG has stepped right in and played well. If anything RG is our weak spot right now. We signed Austin Howard who had been a good RT for the Jets and decided to stick him at guard to emphasize his run blocking, but it has played out poorly. I suspect next season they'll kick him back to RT where he has actually had NFL success and find somebody to plug in at RG.
I don't think having a hole at RG should prevent a team from signing a difference making wideout for their QB

i only like pro football focus when it supports my team. so i'll just leave this here

I think they'll break through. They've been in all their games recently, were within 1 possession in the 4tg for their past 4 games (San Diego, Arizona, Cleveland, Seattle). The schedule isn't easy but they've been improving
they'll probably still end up with the #1 overall but this isn't the worst raiders team I've seen
Next 8 games won't be easy tho, only St Louis is sub .500 and they will play them at home. For the rest Denver twice, chargers, buffalo... they have probably a shot against 49ers, kansas city (twice). 0-16 is not out of reach tbh
Yeah the schedule is rough, I think Denver will blow us out both times. I just think it's a numbers game. It's hard to be right in the thick of so many games and not get lucky once. We need the run game to do something. Dead last in the league, and Carr ends up throwing 40+ passes a week. Not a good gameplan when you have a rookie QB and a mediocre receiving core.
The silver lining is most of our positive players have been young guys. The only vets that are really playin well are Charles Woodson and Donald Penn (left tackle). Woodson is playing too well to retire, hope he reups
First win coming in two weeks.
^ I guess if Raiders go 0-16, Detroit 08 won't be alone anymore so, no offense 21, but I'm rooting for that to happen![]()
these raiders are pretty bad, but those Lions were horrific. that season their best QB was Dan Orlovsky who posted a 48 QBR for the season, and their point differential per game was -15.6. the raiders are sitting at -10 right now.
