Check again. 30 points to close the grizz out or something like that and the game 1 buzzer beater in the finals
Spurs dont win game 6 in okc if parkers healthy...
Sorry, I shouldn't have said that the way I did. Duncan also had 5 turnovers and I was only talking about the quote I was responding to regarding the 'lack of beautiful basketball' comment being laid at Parker's feet, per par. Duncan not only had his double-double, he had it very early in the game. But, he also had a bunch of turnovers. Duncan had five turnovers and Diaw had four. That kind of thing tends to limit how 'beautiful' the basketball game is..and that is what I was responding to.
HH was talking about the playoffs and Parker so I posted about that. I didn't refer to this game, I talk in general terms what type of offense in my opinion is the most successful.
I grant you that. What I was trying (apparently quite inartfully) to say was that any offense looks better when all of its players are available and the thus, things like Tim and Diaw having had some trouble with their counterparts tonight are a function of some of our regular players not being in their normal positions for passing, etc. and all of that impacts how 'smooth' the offense looks, now or in the playoffs, or whenever.
Lovin that confident 3 point shooting.
Spurs win Game 6 if T Mac took Manu's place...
No one brought up Manu, and they just start mentioning himpoor bas never led this team ONCE
Where was Manu mentioned, you inscure Parkeroid![]()
It's fine, the thread is about tonight performance therefore was coherent your response.
I watched the game but it was the first game of the season, I don't worry about the 2nd quarter, the turnovers, etc, they'll improve when they get the competence rhythm and -as you said- have the full roster available to play .
However, I wouldn't relativise how the offense changes -for better, sometimes for worse, too- when Tony is healthy like previous seasons provide examples, but we'll see that throughout the season not just in one game.
those tp 3's were so crucial tonight, was great to see him let it fly without hesitation. could be a big season for parker, finally got to rest his bones this summer
I've been saying all through last season that I'd like Tony to add the 3 point shot to his game and start shooting more threes. If he can add the 3 point shot with decent accuracy, I think it will really open up his game and make him almost unguardable.
I think this team had gone far ahead of individual heroistic play i.e. Enrique. Tony will have to blend into the current roster, playing hero-ball less. I think you will see this more and more obvious as the season rolls.
true. his 3 point shooting is lookign better though.
Who? The first person to mention Manu was hater. smh hater ed all over your face you cant even read properly?
Hater and Yacht, somebody please wipe off Manu's all over their stupid faces.
Agreed...TP9 is our 50win-ensurance and will guide us through the reg. season...Playoffs are another story but we all should be glad to have him as teams need to gamelan for him come playoffs.
Just helping his team achieve success whichever way he can. Thats unselfishness![]()
Excellent point. Its easy to forget opponent teams entire strategy in the playoff is designed at stopping TP.
of course spurs scrubs will benefit from this![]()
Noone needs to mention Manu. Thats whats sad about it
Manu roaches come out at the first mention of MVParker![]()
They both played great. They both need to be great for the Spurs to win. How does no one get that?
Not w/ in the eyes.
