Broncos have 1, maybe 2 difficult games remaining on the schedule..they're a virtual lock for the #1 seed..

They were due for a letdown game, especially on the road against a solid team..
Sorry Harlem, but that overpriced defense got exposed today. Looking like the same old choking Donks come playoff time.

That doesn't make any sense, this isn't basketball..

Why would an NFL defense leave a player wide open?..
I'm saying teams are game planning out of all the weapons, to make him be the one to beat you. He's pulling in Antonio Brown level targets, but DEN has 2 more options that appear to be better than him, no (Thomas and Thomas).

The Broncos' haven't had any problems until today..

People are over-analyzing phantom flaws based on 1 game on the road against a solid and hot Pats team..

Sanders getting targets is fine, but situationally Peyton should be a bit smarter about it...

like i don't agree with throwing deep sideline throws when the coverage is tight. occasionally sanders might make the over the shoulder play, but its not a smart throw to make to a shorter receiver. obviously if he blew by jam coverage and has separation, its a different story

My point, is not about forcing to Sanders, but not forcing some more to the more talented targets. If a guy has some tough coverage, it's still worth it to get Julius and Demar the ball more. If teams are playing to where they are fine letting Sanders get 15+ targets, maybe you should dictate things vs just taking that unless you really think hes THAT talented.

Peyton Manning is one of the greatest coaches in NFL history, he'll figure it out, tbh..he's going to make adjustments next week, the Broncos will have a glorified practice against the Raiders, it should lead to more experimenting and ironing out some kinks..

This game reminded me of Colts/Steelers, last week, tbh..

there's no point... if Sanders is the most open receiver, and he's sure handed, there is literally no reason to not throw it at him. its not like basketball where a contested Green 3 is better than an open CoJo 3...

Denver's problem today was Welker + trying way too hard to establish the run. When you're a pass heavy team there are some games where the run is never going to get going and it should just be abandoned, and this was one of them.

Not really talking about just this game. It's like since that game a few weeks ago where he had only like 3 targets, Peyton/DEN have made an effort to get him 10+ targets since and it's resulted in a bad loss toady and JT being completely out of the game plan. Could work out, just thought it was interesting because I don't know if he's so good that you would want to make sure he gets 10+ targets no matter what.

It can be in terms of you dictating things vs allowing the defense to scheme and game plan and you just have to do what they want you to. This is the third week in a row since they've adjusted to get Sanders the ball that Julius has been completely elimnated from the game plan.

It's resulted in a bad loss to one of the few good teams they have played.

i dont think Sanders getting targets is what resulted in a loss.

Manning threw two picks, and Tamme/Welker combined for 4 catches on 12 targets. Tamme getting a 4th down look while JT is blocking, etc. Sanders performed when thrown at

on the other side of the ball, Brady was doing whatever he wanted for most of the game

if the defense is going to "allow" sanders to catch 12 passes, then that's just bad defense, not bad gameplanning... what difference does it make if Sanders has 10 catches for 150 yards or if JT has 10 catches for 150 yards?

To be fair, you started a thread laughing at the rest of the NFL after one unimpressive Thursday night win over a team

Well, it appeared pretty obvious that NE was happy letting Sander get his targets. Sanders looked good, but no crucial plays. He's reliable but DEN just took what NE gave them and it wasn't enough.

6 of the 8 games so far have been against playoff teams from last year, and 1 of the other 2 was against Arizona, the team with the best record in the NFL(and finished 10-6 last year)..

The Broncos have only played against 1 bad team this year..

Well, we will see how it shakes out if Sanders continues to get double digit targets and if it will be enough to win if it counts.

True, but that wasn't central to the point of the original question. But yes, in looking back at their schedule, they've played solid teams and done well.

praying the Broncos lose half their roster before the playoffs, like last year
    every game is a "shootout"
Von is back, >> JJ Watt
Demarcus Ware being " past his prime"
    best WR in the NFL
    best TE in the NFL
    Peyton Manning at QB
    Peyton coaching and playing simultaneously

    Seahawks are finished
    fluke SB win
coincidentally declined as the NFL introduced HGH testing
    4Decliners
    Ghazi
    Cowboys beating mediocre teams
    Demarco Murray ticking time bomb
    San Diego Clippers
Green Bay regular season team with Dom Capers and McCarthy as coaches
A team with Nick Foles at QB
A team with Andy Dalton and Marvin Lewis
    New England's offensive "weapons"
Baltimore and Indy are cute teams, but let's be real, tbh

DPG's shtick is so silly, tbh..

Defense wasn't as dominant as they have been all year, but they were good enough today, tough to defend when the offense can't move the ball and turns it over twice..it's virtually impossible to win a game with only 7 points on the board..

Only concern is how terrible Manning looked without Thomas and Sanders..could have cost the Broncos HFA, which will make it difficult to beat New England in the playoffs..hopefully he shakes it off..

Denver's D was ranked in the top 5-7 by most metrics going into today's game, against a tough schedule, too..he's reaching..
