And the fact that he averaged 22 ppg while playing with idiots like DC, Chris Morris and Kenny Anderson is mind blowing tbh

Tbh if Petro played today with that zone D and soft officiating he would be averaging 35 ppg

The guy can score. He was never going to be greater than dirk. In fact, I'd pick Manu over him due to a better all around game. But petro was shooting lights out back then, and his game was on the upswing when he got killed in a traffic accident.
Petro could've been a 25ppg scorer in his prime, nailing long range bombs all day long on a contender team. He was one of the first players who would stop and pop 3 pointers on wide open fast breaks because he can make those shots like normal players make layups.
Also, he led the nets to the playoffs. That alone propels him into legend status. I can't find a present day equivalent. Maybe a bigger Stephen curry with less passing?

Euro ball in Drazen's time was virtually non-existent compared to today. Back then all the US team had to do was show up and they'd win by 30 minimum.
They can still win by 30 today... just that they'd have to exert more effort on both ends.

Do yourself a favor and watch the 92 Dream Team final v. Croatia. Drazen went toe to toe with Jordan and arguably got the better of him.

shooting above 50% from the field by itself is impressive enough for a guard (check Kobe's SG%) not to say 45% 3pt shooting. So sad dude's career and life ended too early. There's a reason some people consider him even better than Dirk, though in my opinion Dirk is still the best european basketball player of all time.
Drazen could play. Not a lot of minutes when he first came over until somehow they noticed he could ball.
