just swap some central teams imho, like swap Memphis for Detroit (so the Lakers would probably get their first win sooner)
OKC ting the bed contributing to the 2 of the losses.
We need a conference re-balancing, shuffle them divisions also. Don't like playing in the Southwest Division.

will be geographically impossible to reshuffle conference. the best you can do to reshuffling is move houston to the east and move milwaukee to the west. then you'll have the problem of having to move new orleans, a potentially mediocre team to the east cause we just moved houston, a good team to the east. but what team will you interchange to the west for new orleans? the bulls are a le contender. detroit is too far. memphis is already in the west. or we can interchange new orleans for milwaukee but as i said, new orleans is possibly a mediocre team this year and may not pan out in the future. at least houston is good now.
the east will just forever suck. there's just nothing that can be done.

Successfully Trolled by the Spurs.
OKC had the same thought![]()
Should change it to North vs South imo, or do away with conferences altogether.
The road to the Finals doesn't affect the outcome, at all..
The best team always wins in the NBA, it isn't the NFL or MLB..
Still, it sucks to have the de facto Finals in the 3rd or even 2nd round in the West. Spurs/Suns 2007 should have been the Finals for example.
And the teams that get screwed by this are not the le contenders, but teams like Dallas who win 49 games in a stacked conference and have to play the top overall seed in round 1. If Dallas was in the East they would've been the 3 seed and easily won 1 playoff round.
