Some of these posts make me wonder what team you guys have been watching the past 5 years?
    Yep.

I'm also amazed by the suggestion that Pop should have punted a winnable home game and gone after a road game (on the second night of a back-to-back against a rested team) that was going to be difficult to win. Take care of the home court and do what you can do on the road; it's a pretty long-standing recipe for regular season success in the NBA.

Maybe if the Nba didn't give the Spurs 4 days off then 5 ing games in 7 nights Pop would play everyone.
Truth for sure, and it was a b2b. No surprise.

I think last night would have been a good night for Pop to have slipped a note to the ref saying we forfeit. I can't believe Pop allowed Leonard, Green and Parker to play. it was pretty evident they could have used a night off with the hectic schedule and all.

It's the start of the season. How much rest do these guys need? The Spurs can't complain about lack of interest and do stuff like this.

Or maybe the league could stop putting the Spurs on national TV on the 2nd game of a b2b every ing time.

There's no reason for Pop to even care about that game and give Houston's coaching staff some food for thought on how to defend the Spurs. Sit Tim, sit Manu, send a giant middle finger to the NBA (once again) and leave Houston (a likely playoffs opponent) in the dark.
    This.

The only leverage we have as a smaller market team is to do exactly what Pop is doing. If they want to put us on national television, then great. But stop making it on the second half of a back to back, or worse, the end of 4 games in 5 days. ESPN has hated this franchise since God knows when and us winning has not been their desired result for our games. Maybe the league is trying to help the networks get the "desired" result, or maybe it is just coincidence that we have so many televised games at the end of back to backs or end of multiple games packed into a short time. But there is definitely a message being sent.... let's hope the league hears it...

Yeah, the world likes to watch the underdog win, and what better way to do that than to televise the 4th game in 5 nights for the Spurs, against a well-rested middle-of-the-pack team?

Thinking Pop gives a what media or foreign fans think. You're probably a Spurs fan because they don't cater to media and crowd whim. Now you're pissed for the same reason.

Pop made the right move. If he sat the guys at home vs. Atlanta, he'd get some backlash from the home fans. Better to sit them on an away game. Screw the Houston fans!

looking at the schedule, there will probably be some times where he sits Tim and/or Manu on the 1st night of B2B's, rather than the 2nd night. Example Fri vs. the Lakers, vs Saturday vs the Kings. The Laker game is winnable without Tim & Manu. Or maybe Pop sits Tim vs the Lakers and Manu vs the Kings?

Also, Fri Nov 21st @ Minny looks like a night to sit Tim, rather than Sat. Nov 22nd at home vs Brooklyn. On home-away or away-home back to backs, expect to see Pop sit the old guys out for the road game or sit Tim vs the weaker team and Manu vs the stronger team.
