    Green, a North Carolina Tar Heel like Scott, wanted to wear these "STU"- and "BOOYAH"-emblazoned shoes Tuesday night at the Denver Nuggets, telling the San Antonio Express-News: "I've known him since I've been a freshman in college. I didn't know him that well but we spoke many, many times. He touched so many people in the sports world and encountered so many people in the sports world I can't imagine."

    However, per the Express-News, Green was denied permission to wear the shoes before the game.
