Because Pop doesn't care about these meaningless games, he's putting his bench players in pressure situations, as he has done in previous seasons(Baynes on Davis on the final possession, letting Joseph run the team down the stretch, etc)..

Pop is throwing away games for no reason to play players who WILL NOT pan out to be anybody for us in the playoffs. Daye, Ayres, and Baynes BLOW, they wont do anything meaningful. Pop is ing the team over so he can play his mad scientist persona to the media.

Actually thinking that Pop is not trying his hardest to win close games is pretty dumb...

Pop tried something and it didn´t work out. Happens, I don´t blame him for that! It´s not about excuses...
