Well played.![]()
So then, who do you think will be our next President?
Hilary Clinton, obviously.
Sure about that?
"Thou shalt not kill"
50 million abortion deaths, nope.
The fundamental problem with Republicans or Democrats assigning their political ideology to Jesus Christ is that he wasn't necessarily advocating for any of his policies to be the law of the land.
Jesus (or Apollonius) gave two s about republicans or democrats... dude was too busy deceiving morons in the middle east 19 decades ago.
Wow, what religion are you espousing?
Such harsh criticism!
Yet another reason to be an atheist, tbh.
Apollonius of Tyana look it up.
"Do not suppose that I have come to bring peace to the earth. I did not come to bring peace, but a sword."
Are you saying Liberals think there should be no jail and no courts?Crime and Punishment: If any one of you is without sin, let him be the first to cast a stone at her. [John 8:7] Do not judge, lest
you too be judged. For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged and with the measure you use, it will be measured to
you. [Matthew 7:1 & 2.]
I prefer to do this myself, not have the government do it for me. And that is how Jesus preached it.Equality & Social Programs: But when you give a feast, invite the poor, the maimed, the lame, the blind, and you will be blessed,
because they cannot repay you. You will be repaid at the resurrection of the just. [Luke 14:13 &14.]
That's beside the point. Jesus advocated precepts that fell under a very specific system of morality. And that system happens to be liberal and progressive. Jesus spoke in favor of equality, tolerance, concern for the oppressed and downtrodden--all principles that are espoused by the Democratic Party.
Of course not. But according to recent polls, she's the preferred candidate of over 70% of Democrats for the next Presidential election. That's the strongest reception for any potential candidate for either party in the modern era.
Liberals don't like abortion any more than conservatives, and we regret that it happens.
But we believe that a woman's right to choose and have autonomy over her own life takes precedence over that of a clump of cells.
Of course not. But conservatives like to bandy around phrases like "zero tolerance" and "getting tough on crime." Liberals merely recognise that there are psycho-social factors at work that influence criminal activity, and that it is not our place to assign moral culpability on people's transgressions given the existence of these factors beyond our control.
The underlying point is that we need to care for the downtrodden and the oppressed. And it's great that you want to do it and all, but the federal government can carry this task out far more effectively than any one individual.
What...no cut and paste on Jesus' IQ?
So Jesus Christ also allows women to kill their unborn babies, even without the consents of their husbands (if they have)?
