Soccer has been going on in the USA in a huge major way for over 20 years now.

When I was in Denver about 20 years ago there were lots and lots of huge over crowded soccer complexes full of little kids and soccer moms.

And that was back then, it has skyrocketed since then, just look at Morgan's Wonderland here and that is a tiny fraction of what is going in in San Antonio and all across the nation.

There are so many cities right now jockeying to be the next member of the MLS that it is unbelievable.

.....when a soccer ball comes rolling across the street, yep, I was passing a grade school. So I swerve around it.

Then, I pass another school and there they are playing soccer. What the , it's football season. Why aren't these kids playing touch football? , when I was a kid we played football (neighborhood) with extension cords and lamps, it took..."ok kids time to come in"...from the parents. We played in the rain, in the mud, out in the street and yep it was...."ok run to the Ford and cut in". More than once hitting the pavement, running into a trash can or a car. We saw tennis and soccer as something a sissy would do.

Here in the central valley we have a "bad air" problem, there is actual talk of dumping Friday night HS games if the air quality is some level of bad.

I'm typing this with a middle finger twice as big as it should be, I broke it playing flag football, went to yank a flag and jammed it into the guys side, yep...crack.
