I don't think James would have been able to boot Wade out of town, especially if they were still a le Contender.
At the moment, Cleveland is 18th place in the NBA, meanwhile, the Heat look like a more stable roster with better coaching and are 9th place without Lebron. I believe it's after this year (or next) that Wade's contract is up and Miami could have brought in another superstar for Bron+Bosh+someone else. People seriously underrate what Bosh did for Bron both on the defensive and offensive end. Also, Miami has Pat Riley, a winner and Spo who is a much better coach than Blatt.
I know its early, and I'm sure they'll at least cruise to the ECF. But this team doesnt look built to win 2-3 in a row.
Did Bron press the panic button too soon?

Jimmy tuning his back on his country was a disgrace.
That's 1-7 talking.
Jimmy was dominated and exposed by Puerto Rico. After that he refused to represent his country.
What a leader this guy is![]()
"His country"
Wow, so you're also a brainwashed patriot? you Arnold, I hate everything about you.
jimmy is timmy
The '04 Olympics is all Kobefan has left since Tim tied up the count![]()
Normally I would agree with this. Obviously its VERY early and in fact, we wont know if this was the right decision until 3 years from now. However, walking away from Riley who is a winner, Bosh who is still in his prime, and a franchise that knows what its doing for Gilbert and the curse that is cleveland was a huge risk.
Not to mention, Lebron is in his 12th season and he still doesnt have a freaking home. What will he be remembered as?
I think it was a bad decision tbh. But I could be wrong
Miami wasn't going to get any better.
not that cleveland is currently a better spot than Miami, but he got to save face and repair his image while leaving what he felt was a sinking ship. with how young cleveland is and how new this core is, there isn't going to be the pressure to win right away. although if Love bolts it could be hilarious to see what ensues with lebron's option
It was a bad move. Then again, it's the East... You have the Pacers who are discombobulated, Chicago which is a gimmick team, and lastly the Heat, which is only as good as Wade's knees go. The rest is really not even worth mentioning.
Playing Defense is a gimmick?
I could have bet money that Bosh was going to have MVP type season. Wade is a as good as his knees, so probably not all season long. Spo is still good coach, Deng is decent pick up. Heat are not a contender anymore, but they can be in East Final.
Well yeah, but if u add Lebron to that equation....
they werent getting deng if bron was there. so u basically have last year's team again + shb
zz and mcbob
If you can't sustain it when it matters, it's a gimmick. What we know about Chicago is that they'll post a solid regular season record, they'll be some buzz about if this is the year they'll make some noise, and then they'll fold like a cheap chair in the 2nd round.
That's the Bulls we know and love. There's zero indication it will be any different this season, so we'll go with that until proven otherwise.
Love is an upgrade over Bosh and Irving is an upgrade over Wade (at this point in his career). Plus, there was no way Miami was winning another le anyway. With Cleveland, LeBron still might.
If PG stayed healthy and we have this current set-up, the East would actually be worth it to watch. CLE, Bulls, Indy, Heat.
How is Love a clear upgrade over Bosh? With the way Bosh has been playing right now, proving he can still be a great scorer, 3 pt shooter, and besides Bosh's defense is automatically better than Love. Irving, is probably the reason why the Cavs won't win the 'ship, he will heroball this season away together with his and the Cavs' non-existent defense(Marion). There's no way Cleveland's beating the Spurs either.
Irving is a loser, and even though Wade's knees are shot, I'll take a seasoned vet like him to go to battle every time.
Yeah, I'm on the fence with the Love vs Bosh thing... Love also always looked to me as a no-defense, finesse guy...
Not only that, Bosh has proven that he's a winner, a guy that you could give the ball to in the clutch meanwhile Love is nothing but a regular season statpadder yet. Not hating on Love at all but no one can just say he's a clear cut upgrade as a complement over Bosh to Bron.
I agree that the Cavs aren't beating the Spurs. But playing LeBron is going to take a toll on your production since you're going to have to take a backseat to him. Case in point: Love is sucking right now, but his stats in Cleveland are still better than those of Bosh when he played with LeBron.
Irving will mature with time. He's still young. And talent-wise, he's better than Wade at this point in his career.
