Depends on Derrick Rose
MVPau was in par per beast mode last night, and Noah is always a menace. How dangerous are these two on the floor at the same time?
I don't think so.
Depends on their perimeter defense....same thing with the Bulls for the past 3 years.
ECF good. They may or may not have enough to beat the Cavs, but they'd get their pushed in by the Spurs/healthy Thunder/Clippers that play up to their potential.
getting Pau for only 7m/yr is a bargain. we pay Diaw almost the same amount but see how terrible he plays this season?
Can you imagine MVPau on the Spurs? I really thought the fact that the Spurs are so international would lure him in.![]()
But but but, MVPau never won a PO's game without Kobe . . . role player only, tbh.
If Rose is fully healthy, Bulls lose to the Cavs in 6 or 7 in the ECF. If he isn't, they lose in 5 imo.
He needed a bigger challenge and was much needed (not just on the court) in Chicago. He will be an All Star in Chicago
some games gangbanger looks decent and others he kind of chucks. i guess how far they go depends on whether or not gangbanger can regain anything near 80-85% of prime form. their frontcourt is obviously top notch.
there isn't a better team in the east right now. they'd beat miami handily imo. Cleveland will have to gel but they're the only team that can get past chicago
MVPau did the right thing moving East... the only question is his durability playing for coach that has a fame for running his players to the ground, tbh...
He's currently averaging 35mpg, but at some point he's going to need some rest...
I would agree in the regular season, but in a playoff series? Not sold on that...
did you just doubt MVPau?
im not sold on Wade in the playoffs right now tbh.
i think the bulls are better even with the 50-60% rose we've seen most of this season.
Nope, I doubt his coach can keep him fresh and healthy... MVPau is 34 already, many miles in those legs, played over the summer for Spain...
He's still obviously a great #2 option, but he's at that point in his career where his minutes need monitoring... also, if he has to become the #1 option, it's going to be difficult for chitown.
Wade's health obviously matters, but people seriously underrate Miami, IMO... they're a team that have gone through some serious battles, are extremely well coached, and I think they still have a good, experienced roster. I actually think their weakest link is Deng...
My biggest issue with Pau is he seems to lose steam as the season goes on. Remember 2011? It's not just D'Antoni not being able to utilize his strength, Jackson couldn't squeeze an ounce from him, Mike Brown too.
I remember after the Lakers acquired Gasol. He was effortlessly scoring and moving with ease. Perhaps age has finally caught up to him, with Duncan being the exclusion here since Pop manages his minutes well, but Gasol hasn't been impressive in the playoffs since.
This new role and situation could very well revitalize his career, but if recent history is any indication, Gasol always starts the season strong and regress as the season goes on. I hope he does well in Chicago and winning a le would be incredible for him after years of being mistreated by the fans and management, but unlikely.
rose, butler, pau, noah 4 among my favourite players tbh.. they miss some shooting, but other than that, they are a true force.
I think a healthy Bulls would give the Thunder fits. Their bigs would clog the lane and play smart. The Bulls play D 1-5 and would shut down everyone on the Thunder. WB and Durant would have to combine for 70+ per game minimum.
When Heinrich is in the game maybe
Let's see the SOB win 16 after the 82. Go on, Pau, chop/chop.
Ha. He'll get that consternation look on his in' face and put on his philosophical coat. in' leftover Mexican.
