i never said that. animals behave unpredictably all the time. lemmings run themselves off cliffs.

lets say out of all those little fishy things, 75% of them stayed in the water, 25% of them ventured onto land. onto land, where there were no predators, and no compe ion for food. do you think those 25% survived? given that they could live on land and had no predators at the time? probably. if they survived, they reproduced. their spawn lived their entire life on land. again, with no predators, no compe ion. they reproduced again. and again. and again.

if you have successful conditions, you are more likely to reproduce

I don't see anything that came out of....salt water...living very long on land. The chances of them finding the right diet seems unrealistic. The chances of them fighting off disease, not good. The odds of the right % of males/females ending up on the same beach at the same time....not good.

I don't believe we came from the sea at all, and I won't be changing my mind. It's simply too damn stupid....ok?

also, the brontosaurus (actually called apatosaurus) isn't "debunked" lol. there have been many fossils discovered of them, not just one like the video tries to claim

the statement that peppered moths do not sit on tree trunks is completely false. it is true that they used dead moths to take the pictures, but that is because of the unlikelihood of having two distinctly colored moths being found at the same time on the same tree trunk.

the book "Melanism: Evolution in Action" has pictures of living moths resting on tree trunks

you like to say you aren't creationist, or a believer in "intelligent design" but rather, "alternative design" and yet all the videos you keep posting promote creationism. however, in our discussions, you said you don't claim a the existence of a designer or creator, which by definition confirms you as an atheist anyway. but you keep posting creationist links despite clearly being an atheist

unless the source is scientific and peer reviewed. a freelance youtube video is factual to you, yet peer reviewed work isn't.

in any event, as i outlined earlier, most of the "facts" in those videos are demonstrate hilarious level of misunderstanding of what they are talking about. i'm not an evolutionary biologist but even i was able to find glaring holes in virtually every argument they made

mouse is a different case. he's an atheist, but is bent on finding random youtube videos with ominous music that "debunks" evolution. i think he failed science classes in his youth and is just upset about it

its not a matter of what i prefer. i would surely prefer an afterlife, that would be great. especially if it was paradise.

i also prefer to be a 7 time lottery winner. i just see no reason to believe in either. no evidence

First of all, Kenichthys is based on one incomplete skull with no articulated bones, making it impossible to assemble an entire skull. The so-called internal nostril is what seems to be a notch between the premaxillary and maxillary. This notch could result from missing bone.

The lack of pictures or even illustrations of this incomplete skull makes an independent analysis impossible. Most articles on this fossil are so filled with evolutionary interpretations that they have no independently useful data. Also, the fossil is from China, where there is known to be a large fake fossil industry, and there is no indication that the authors personally found the fossil in the ground. If they bought it from a dealer, it could be a result of this fake fossil industry.

Even if they are right about the notch being an internal nostril, it is dated as 25-30 million years too old to be transitional between fish and amphibians. There are several types of lobe-finned fish that are considered ancestors to amphibians that are dated younger than Kenichthys but show no evidence of this internal nostril. This fact alone eliminates Kenichthys from being a transitional fossil between fish and amphibians.
