Lol editing after you realizing "evolution" was in that piece
What makes you think that your god didn't use evolution as a tool for creation?
Lol editing after you realizing "evolution" was in that piece
I'll be damn two intelligent remarks (need 8 in playoffs) in two days, wow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I've thought of that as have others, but it would shoot holes in the Bible teachings. You do have something there.
And ya had a roll going, nope, I didn't read any further than what I posted.
But you don't believe in the Bible. You make fun of it.
Contradicting yourself over and again is unintelligent.
Well you should have. Even the Pope has come around to evolution.
sure. like i've said probably over 100 times in these discussions, i have never made the claim that "god doesn't exist." Most scientists don't say "god doesn't exist."
you keep trying to combine the god argument with evolution, when i keep telling you to keep them separate. of course, the god as described in the bible (which you yourself have called a load of crap) does conflict with science, but i'm speaking of a god in general, not necessarily that rendition of god.
it is perfectly possible to believe in a god and still understand evolution. Chinook has been absent from ST, but he's among that group I just described.
Of course, I also think its important to separate personal beliefs from something which people study. you can construct a rational argument for the existence of a god (i will again use chinook as an example of this), sure. but there isn't much we can actually learn about god. there's nothing to study, nothing to observe. its an internal argument and belief.
evolution is something that has come about as a result of evidence. we learn more and more about it as the years go on. our understanding of the fossil record, of the genetic record enhance every year. you can observe fossils in chronological order to see changes over time in species. if you combine genetic variation + time, evolution is sort of inevitable.
but i want to re-emphasize that nobody here is claiming "god doesn't exist." you need to understand that the two can coexist. you have made this same mistake over a dozen times already. cut it out.
i understand its silly, but i'm trying to demonstrate a point which you keep missing. it is not even arguable that a vast majority of scientists support evolution.Dude, the Hail Mary thing is beyond stupid, ok?
similarly, a vast majority of hail mary plays fail. just because i can post 500 videos of successful hail mary plays, that doesn't change the fact that it almost always fails.
so while you keep posting names of scientists (just like me theoretically posting videos of successful hail mary plays), it doesn't change the fact that a vast majority of scientists support evolution (just like how a vast majority of hail mary plays fail)
that shouldn't bother you at all. you yourself have said the bible is manmade and the stories full of crap
Just when I was thinking...."he's not as dumb as I thought"....ya go and up.
Stupid.......nobody knows anything at all about how legit any of this stuff is, ok little man? I don't care if others need to believe in the Bible, I wouldn't try and talk them out of it because I don't have a clue......either.
I do go with....God....because it's just the easy way to go.
Damn you're back to...DUH!
I'm....OBVIOUSLY...not talking about me half pint. I'm....OBVIOUSLY...talking about the masses.
Didn't you once tell me it doesn't matter what the ....vast majority....believe? Wasn't that you?
Are we sure that vast majority still buy into the theory of evolution today in 2014? As we saw the vast majority of Americans do believe in God.
thats cool man. but it doesn't have to come at the expense of evolution which actually has evidential support behind it. the belief in god doesn't require the disbelief in evolution... and the belief in evolution doesn't require the disbelief in god.
the only time this doesn't hold true is if we are talking about the biblical god, which we all know you don't believe in at all
if you read my post, you would have caught this tidbit though...
"Of course, I also think its important to separate personal beliefs from something which people study. you can construct a rational argument for the existence of a god (i will again use chinook as an example of this), sure. but there isn't much we can actually learn about god. there's nothing to study, nothing to observe. its an internal argument and belief. "
people can believe in god. but there's no way we can really study god or learn more about god (unless you want to study those man-made myths). evolution can be learned about and studied, like physics or chemistry or math
this is why i always mention scientists aka people who dedicate their livelihood to studying and learning
what some random shmuck in kentucky or idaho believes in doesn't really matter to me.
Nobody ever accused sheep of being intelligent.
Fat old sheep
Tell us all again about Nick Chubb ya ing idiot. Post how much $$$$ we lost last season and how I'm doing now....like I said I would. Tell us all again.....I can see TT winning by two td's.
A dumb like you playing critic, hahahaha!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Why continue to play this silly game..."I never said there wasn't a God"...?
Do you believe there is a God? Yes or no?
it's not a silly game, its actually a simple concept.
i don't believe there is a god. but i'm not naive enough to claim "god doesn't exist" as a fact... right now i dont believe in a god. maybe tomorrow god will show himself. that would certainly change my belief. i leave the possibility open, it would be foolish not to. in fact, it is a staple of science that you cannot prove something doesn't exist. we say "it is a fallacy to prove a negative"
It's different to say "I don't believe the Raiders will win today" and to say "It is a fact that the Raiders won't win today." Please tell me you understand the difference
Yeah, you're re ed.
Stop with the...."you understand"...bull , ok guy? You're a simple little I have no problems understanding you...ok?
You wouldn't pray to God if ya knew you were dying....right? That's all that matters. You're son is dying and you won't be..."please God...:" So no you don't buy it at all...ok?
You follow me around idiot, if ya didn't we'd never talk, now think got, ok?
so basically you don't understand.
and no, i wouldn't pray to Zeus if i was sick and dying. I also surely wouldn't pray to Krishna or Horus.
I totally understand, and looking at what you posted below you think God is a myth. So why play stupid ass games? Just say..... no there is no God....because that's how you really feel about it.
So the fact the vast majority of humans who have walked this earth did believe in some God means nothing to you.....right?
this just illustrates that you didn't understand what i posted earlier.
i dont believe that a god exists. but i'm not naive enough to make a claim that it does not exist. if you fail to draw the distinction, then you can't say "i understand"
Stop it guy...ok? You don't believe in God but wouldn't rule it out as a possibilty....right?
But.....you don't believe in God.
bingo. just like how you probably dont believe minnesota will beat green bay this week, but you won't rule it out as a possibility.
glad we got that across. but still, the conversation has shifted from evolution to god. not sure why you are so inclined to intertwine them. the only time the two would conflict is if you are talking about the biblical god specifically
