I'm going to call the Austin Spurs the SWBCs from here on out.

The SWBC big men are not good at defense. Making Joe Alexander look like an NBA player and James McAdoo look like Bob McAdoo

but the only reason it's nope is because FO drooling over him.... much like mcdyess, bonner, ayers, daye, etc. It doesnt matter if he's decent, horrible, or an all-star. When they drafted him they knew/know they would keep him no matter what. Doesn't really matter to me, if he makes us better I want him to play, but we all know how his PT will be managed; non-existent.

Daye hyped???? Daye is a scrub earning less than the rookie KA.

For a Bonner replacement, he's doing okay. C'mon, just the other day he got a double-double with 50% shooting from the 3 point line. I'm not saying he's the next Kevin Durant, but he's a servicable stretch 4 big.
I know he's a scrub hence hyped. Learn to read

The difference between a fringe NBA player and the average NBDL players is always pretty eye opening. Same used to happen with De Colo, he looked so slow in the NBA but when he got sent down to Austin he'd put up some monster numbers.

I hope the kid can translate this to the big league. One game can make wonders for your confidence but it's usually really if you have it or not rather than the lack of confidence.

I still have an opinion that he needs more playing time to get his shot reformed and learn defensive rotations in the system.

However, If the Spurs staff wants to bring him back to the big show, I'm supportive of that as they know what they have talentwise in KA better than any of us, but I hope the move wasn't just prompted by injuries and the need to have another body on the bench.

He'll be going back and forth. The SWBCs don't play as often as the mothership.

Lets not forget that Belli is now back, Bonner is back, Splitter well be back soon, and Mills is about 1 1/2 months away from returning as well. His SA PT is about to get worse not better, so plan on seeing him more in Austin than SA in the coming months which is ok. This should be his Junior year in college so now is the perfect time to improve some of his weaknesses before next season when he well be relied upon more.
