It's a stupid decision to bench him if they're still planning on keeping him next year, but seems like there's virtually no chance that he will with Washington..

They better hope McCoy is decent, though, as a stop-gap for next year while they fix their O-line and other issues..you can't start Cousins, he's one of the worst QBs I've ever seen, tbh..

son, Colt McGod knows what he's doing. We all know he can go out and win the rest of the games by 30+ points, but he doesn't want to show his hand this season. He'll win some, lose some, to keep a decent draft pick. CIA Colt imo.
    Fair enough

Cousins for all his faults ha had better throws than RG3 and a better game (against PHI) than RG3 has had in 2 years.

RG3 has been terrible and deserves to be benched. Kirk or Colt don't have to be be decent because RG3 is not decent.

RG3 sucks now, tbh, but like many other washed up players before him(like current Eli Manning, for example), he's living on name and the reputation he built based on his rookie season..in sports, you earn the benefit of the doubt and respect from previous performance, despite your actual, present performance( , a lot of Spurs fans were desperate for Danny Granger last year)..

Cousins has played in 2 separate seasons, and he looked like he didn't belong in the NFL..

Disagree. RG3 had one great year when he was a gimmick with no game plan against him but the past two years have exposed how bad he truly is. Kirk hasn't shined, but he's had no where the amount of opportunity that RG3 has had and Kirks had the highest upside game (against PHI) in the past 2 years.

Kirk has always had to come in under rough cir stances (not named a starter, fans loving RG3 and wanting him to fail, ect..). Kirk sucks, but he doesn't have to be great because RG3 is awful. Same for Colt.

Like I said, RG3 sucks, but the alternatives are even worse..

Just a disaster of a franchise, tbh, they need a major overhaul..

That Rams trade is looking like worse and worse..

skins need to fire haslett and morris (DC and secondary coach), promote bruce allen from GM to President and hire someone else from a succesful organization to be GM. We have AJ smith in the organization now and he can draft but he also ed San Diego. He is better than the current garbage in the FO right now though. We cant draft for .

Keep RG3 this year for the 3 million we owe him in his final year and see how he plays in year 2 of the offense with hopefully a revamped line. Go into this draft and trade down the number 5 pick to get a few more picks. Target primarily O Line and Safety, maybe a LB and make the switch back to the 4-3 where we do currently have the pieces for that.

RG3 doesnt live up to the expectations then you draft a QB in 2016 when his deal expires. We cant afford to draft a qb high again with so many other holes on the team, every ing qb on our roster this year was taking hits after 2 seconds because of a terrible ing line. Finally, dont ing rush this. We are 2-4 years away from contending for the playoffs so patience is needed. And Snyder

What RG3 showed me the last 3 games of the season are encouraging tho. He was for the most part decisive witht he ball, took less sacks, went through his reads and moved the ball on offense. Its a growing process but it is a huge contrast to the show "100 yards passing" SF and Tampa games.

Haslett is supposedly in high spirits today, but a lot of players think he is going to get fired. He's been here two years too long, along with Morriss and Foerster. I'll be happy with either Vic Fangio, Rex Ryan or Wade Phillips as our next defensive coordinator. Imo Fangio will get a head coaching gig, Ryan will sit out a year and try to get a head coaching position next year, and I've heard Wade Phillips is enjoying "retirement". Hopefully Wes Phillips who is a tight ends coach for us will influence him to coach here. Switching back to a 4-3 defense wouldn't be a bad deal also, we seem to have players to switch especially if Murphy gets bigger to play defensive end. Redskins fans seem to love Eric Decosta from Baltimore to be there next GM, but many think he is waiting to take over when Ozzie Newsome retires, but the word is Newsome ain't retiring anytime soon, so if Snyder brings out his checkbook hopefully it can sway him in if they're mutually interested. I've heard positive and negative things about AJ Smith, so I wouldn't be too upset if given a chance. RG3 is going to stay at least one more year, but I hope it will be a quarterback compe ion when training camp starts. Of course RG3 will have the advantage as he played solid for the most part against the Giants, Eagles and Cowboys, and all we have invested in him.

I've heard Shane Ray DE/OLB from Missouri might be a target for the fifth pick, and some say he could be the next Von Miller. We really don't have a need too much for OLB as that is one of our few strengths unless they convert Trent Murphy as 3-4 DE which he is probably too small right now to make that chance. Of course Leonard Williams will be most ideal, but he isn't get past the Jaguars at number three though. If not it would be nice like you mentioned to possibly move back a few spots maybe get Scherff from Iowa to play left guard, move Luavao to play his natural position as a right guard, or bring spencer long to play RG also and give Morgan Moses one more year as right tackle. The first three picks should be DE/DT,RT/Guard and safety in no order, no exceptions.

    What a ing joke
I hope Gruden is fired next year also, if he is on board with this idiot.

Gruden:"I have a lot of respect for jim Haslett" said Haz had his hands tied by injuries "would i recommend keeping him? Yes."

    A little more encouraging
Gruden: "I promise you this will not be the same football team, same staff next year."

Sources: #Redskins reached out to respected personnel man Scot McCloughan about being a top executive for them. Was out of football in ’14.

McCloughan drafted Dashon Goldson, Frank Gore, Vernon Davis, Joe Staley and Patrick Willis during his time with the 49ers as GM and VP of football operations. He then helped identify key players for Seattle such as Richard Sherman, Russell Wilson, K.J. Wright and Bobby Wagner that allowed Seattle to win their first Super Bowl.

Finally a step in the rigjt direction. This would be huge. Get a ing GM, let him run the ing draft and draft his own ing head coach and tell Snyder to get the out of the way for 6 months. This would be the first right thing Snyder has done his entire ownership

I hope Scot will be give complete control of the roster if he is hired. I think we have a good shot with him and Allen being good friends. Not sure what AJ Smith, or Bruce Allen's role should be but Bruce shouldn't be anywhere near the players except working out the numbers for players contracts which is his only good reputation now so I wish he would just be given team president duties. Hopefully AJ would have more of an emphasis when it comes to the scouting, and get rid of some the Redskins scouts. Then get Wade Phillips in here now that Haslett is gone!

It will be nice if we look like an up and coming wildcard/divisional round team this year with Bob showing a lot more flashes of 2012. I know a lot of Skins fans will be happy if we don't finish last again next year. Anything 7-9 or better will keep Gruden/RG3's job imo. Still a lot of work to be done, but the potential is there on both sides of the balls with good coaching.

Rest of the offseason with personnel: hire wade/fangino/donatell maybe Mangini just not barry from san diego as defensive coordinator; get a qb coach/playcaller Brad Childress name has been throw around because he helped develop Donovan McNabb; fire foerster the offensive line coach and bring back maybe Russ Grimm who helped develop Samuels and Jansen back in the days.

I love our new GM. I was listening to espn 980 and 106.7 today after his press conference. All 3 were awesome and it's refreshing listening to someone who knows what the they're talking about unlike Bruce. Dude is all about building thru the draft, building up the offense and defensive lines and taking BPA. He isn't a big FA person. I'm sold. Be patient redskin fans, it's a process but I'm confident in him and I think we will have a solid roster by the end of year 3
