yeah, brides of funkenstein, bootsy and bernie don't hurt![]()
I love the Beatles version--this one is pretty good too.

covers better than the original?
i also love VH's You Really Got Me, but the Kinks version is every bit as good if not better
That's funny. I was gonna troll and mention Hendrix AATW.
Here's a terrible cover along with a weird performance.
Van Halen is a great example of how to do a good cover.
Don't know if that's sarcasm? I do like "You're No Good" and "Pretty Woman".
You're No Good is the worst one, but I don't like that song to begin with. I do like their Pretty Woman (especially with the Intruder opening). Also, You Really Got Me is fantastic and Where Have All The Good Times Gone, and Dancing In The Street are very good.
Bad Company by Five Finger Death Punch. Super ing gay
Fortunate Son cover by U2.
Five Finger Death Punch is ing awful.
I won't even listen to that. There is no way that doesn't suck.
Pseudo Echo's cover of Lips Inc. hit Funkytown
yeah...those are all good. I forgot how much they did. I did not realize "Where Have All the Good Times Gone" was a cover.
you don't like Linda Rondstat?
this is some cool
damn, didn't even know that was a thing. bad company (the band too, not just the song) was great but not frequently talked about
Yeah, she's a great singer, but That song is not my favorite. Linda Ronstadt did some great covers.
Jose Feliciano
Really underrated. One of the best rock bands of the 70s. Didn't last very long though.
i actually like this one, once you get past the idea of Canadians covering Joe Walsh
the instrumental break is pretty damn good
Oof. I liked the Pseudo Echo Funkytown better than that.
A.C. has some amazing covers too:
there's a good chance i'm pretty biased. triumph is probably one of my top 5 favorite bands. always overshadowed by big brother canadian band rush
Well, if we're posting GOOD covers now...
I always forget about them. We used to play 10 from 6 all the time. That just might be my T'giving traveling music. I never did really go back and check out their full albums though.
LOL. Triumph. That being said, Triumph rules! Rik Emmett is a of a musician.
Is there a "Best Cover Songs" thread? I've always loved this:
And here I thought you were coming to talk about *semi-annual Van Hagar joke* when Van Halen was mentioned!
