LOL. Triumph. That being said, Triumph rules! Rik Emmett is a of a musician.
indeed. also one of the few bands i cant think of where the drummer also was a lead vocalist (well, Emmett and Moore split duties)

Good point. Moore had a great voice as well. They had both sides covered. But Emmett hitting those high notes was something. Lay it on the Line is an all time favorite.

And here I thought you were coming to talk about *semi-annual Van Hagar joke* when Van Halen was mentioned!

I racked my brain for a Van Hagar cover just for you, but not sure they ever did one!

With the exception of a couple of songs, the Beatles covers in "I am Sam" soundtrack are pretty good.

Cover songs better than the original
Guns n Roses: live n let die, knocking on heaven's door, since I don't have you.
    Metallica: Turn the page
    Orgy: Blue Monday

Live and Let Die, I'll give you... But not Knockin on Heaven's Door. Way too much vocal self-indulgence from Axl on that one... "HAAAY HAAAY HAY HAY HAY"

Live And Let Die is a good cover but Knockin On Heaven's Door is horrible.

Don't be mean, but, what does "cover song" exactly stand for?

When a band sings another band's song, one they are famous for.

Though some enjoy it, I think Metallica's "Turn the Page" really ed up Bob's song. Bob's version was so much better, sounded authentic, like Bob.

I disagree. The original sounds too pussified IMO. Too much sax and the vocals sound lame. Original also really doesn't get your head bobbing like Metallica's version imo.

Only someone who wasn't from that era would think Bob Seger sounded pussified.
