Kawhi is easily the weakest Finals MVP since Chauncey in 04. He's a nice midlevel player but the day Duncan retires and you dumb s think the franchise is in good hands with Kawhi, it's going to be glorious.

If you actually knew my takes and weren't posting on a Philo impulse you'd know I hated the Parsons signing and condemned the Mavericks long ago. I have no delusions about my team, or it's future once Dirk retires.

Boris is the more versatile passer and defender. With stretch 4s now being a fixture on any good team, I think a player like Diaw, who can conceivably guard 3 through 5, is more valuable to a team than Lee.

Where's Harlem with the stats. I'd like to see a comparison of how each player guards perimeter oriented bigs (Dirk, LMA, last year's Bosh, etc).

Boris can't guard 3s. He got bailed the out that Lebron didn't just rip through all day on him in the finals. That "I'm gonna waggle my arms in front of you so I look really active" defense ain't actually sound. Kevin Durant would have fouled Boris out in a minutes...

He can't really guard tall players well either. What he does do, he does it well. That's guard regular sized 4s.

Aaron Dobson looks like he can develop into a solid receiver. Even if you take away the TD that anyone on SpursTalk except for Fabbs or TPark could have executed, i saw enough to think he can be a good player. Most of his mistakes (drops, bad/wrong routes) were fixable. He showed an ability to get open consistently, and to adjust to the ball and make a play on it. He sucked, but showed huge potential for improvement imho.

and just an aside, tonight was the first time I listened to the AM 1200 Spurs post game talk or whatever. The show that's on after the interviews. was hilarious if you're even a little bit impartial. It made upstairs sound rational.

"It doesn't matter if we're the 4th or the 5th seed, as long as we're healthy in the playoffs there's no one out there that can beat us." I mean who cares about having home court advantage in any series anyways?

A guy called in to talk about how he thought Manu was trying to score 30 at the end.

my ass was closer than your brain. i guessed he'd fade into obscurity after 2 years like murphy did. unfortunately he didnt make it that far despite having a superior situation/qb. can't win em all =/

but for the past year+ its been an easy way to ruffle your feathers, just to bring it up

And his three point shot isn't even falling yet. 23 years old, kid's going to be a monster. A couple of all-star selections at the very least tbh.

I'd say more like Tony Parker penetration + Derrick Rose athleticsm + Steve Nash shooting ability hybrid. Dude is freakishly talented and gifted. And he has as great of a guy as anyone can learn from in Jason Kidd.
